We provide a variety of catering and dining services in Glasgow and beyond. Our food is casual but thoughtful, showcasing local producers, wild foraged ingredients, traditional Scottish techniques, with an outward-looking and progressive approach. We specialise in smaller more intimate events, where our bespoke and thoughtful approach to dining and celebration can really make that time spent together that wee bit more special.
Building on a breadth of experience in acclaimed Scottish restaurants, catering events in unusual spaces, and running pop-ups in a variety of venues, Stone Lands Kitchen offers bespoke catering services for parties, weddings, private dining and other events, from canapés through to full tasting menus. We pride ourselves on our flexibility and creativity, and love to take on the challenge of unusual venues, locations and events.
- What services do you offer? We offer high-quality, bespoke catering, from private dining through to weddings. We build menus, from canapes and buffets through to full tasting menus, based on seasonal, local and foraged produce, delivering a dining experience that is special and memorable.
- Do you offer a venue for the banquet? No, we can work in any location you have arranged.
- Is it possible to adapt/modify the menu?Every menu is designed to meet the specific requirements of the customer.
- What kind of cuisine do you offer? Our food is from Scotland, though draws on our traditions and ingredients in thoughtful ways to provide something a bit different - drawing on global influences and new nordic cuisine. We try to capture something of the time and place the food is enjoyed, presenting the varied and delicious ingredients of Scotland on the plate, with an outward-looking approach to dining influenced by our vibrant, multi-cultural, welcoming and hungry city. Our menus reflect our respect and awe of our wider surroundings - drawing on a network of local producers, our own foraging of wild ingredients, and a guiding ethos of sustainability.
We design a bespoke menu for each event to fit your requirements, always focussed on local and seasonal produce, but to give you an idea, at various times of year you might taste delicious west coast oysters with homemade elderflower vinegar; wild brown trout from Assynt with wood sorrel and gorse flowers; mackerel from Loch Long with a gooseberry and rhubarb ceviche dressing; or sweet woodruff panna cotta made with local farm milk.
When not working on events we spend time building our wild larder by foraging around the forests, seashores and hedgerows of Scotland, which are abundant with under-used and delicious ingredients which connect our food to the places it is enjoyed. We also seek out and work with thoughtful artisanal producers who share our values of sustainability and sense of place to build a network of high-quality suppliers who care about our planet.
For big celebrations, special occasions, whether you live here or are a visitor to Scotland, eating a meal that connects you to a special time and place, appreciating as much as you can about the here and now, makes that time spent together that wee bit more special.
