A lively folk/gypsy/ceilidh band with tunes from Ireland, Scotland, Wales, America and England.
We are available for performing concerts, barn dances (or ceilidhs) at pubs, festivals, weddings, birthdays, BBQ's or any other party!
We perform a range of music (both songs and tunes) from a broad repertoire and era from traditional folk to 70's and 80's rock!
We can cater for Scottish 'flavoured' Ceilidhs, although for most Barn Dance/ Ceilidhs we would keep it mixed to allow dancers of all experience levels to enjoy themselves.
Our aim is to 'entertain, not educate', it should be fun after all!

This trio of likeminded musicians formed in early 2017, and have already made their mark with their upcoming group. Coming from projects of their own (TEYR, Crossharbour, Céilí Max), Tad Sargent (GUITAR, BOUZOUKI, BODHRAN, VOCALS), James Gavin (FIDDLE, GUITAR) and Dominic Henderson (UILLEANN PIPES, WHISTLES, VOCALS) blend their intrigue with new sounds with the old styles of the music they grew up with.
Born in London, Tad, James and Dominic having grown up playing on the session circuit as accomplished musicians in their own right, and also having taught extensively in their fields, now turn their heads towards hitting stages at events around the country with a new, exciting, and vibrant sound.
Their music has been described as "Ear Candy For The Gods" by Bill Barclay (Director Music at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, and Guardian Columnist).
Between them, the lads have played at venues ranging from the Royal Albert Hall, The Union Chap...

Hi, I am looking to put on some live music at South Molton Rugby Club , North Devon on Saturday the 18th of March next year fo a St Patrick's night. The event would take place indoors.
My fiance, Andrew, and I are getting married on 29th April 2017 and would definitely love to have a Ceilidh in the evening and I had your name passed on to me. The reception is at Kia Ora Gardens, Knowle Lane, Cullompton, Devon.
We would love to hear whether you are available on that date. We have a few other questions:
~How long do you tend to play for at a wedding? We would ideally like two sets of at least 1.5hours each.
~The reception is in a marquee and we will be hiring a generator. Are there any particular requirements for power that we would need to consider?
~How much do you charge and what does the price cover (travel/caller etc.)?
~How long in advance to you need to arrive to set up?
Thanks! Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks, best wishes,
I'm organising a 60th birthday party for my husband at kingston-estate in their basement. My husband likes a plethora of music including Led Zeppelin, R&B, Soul, Motown etc. I'm really looking for a band who will get the party moving.
I am planning a 60th Birthday party for my husband to be held at the Royal British Legion Alphington, Exeter. It will have mixed ages from young children to elderly relatives would your entertainment be suitable for that?
we are having a wedding for around 90 guests and we thought before the DJ kicked in it would be fun to have a ceilidh band to liven the room and get people on their feet.
We didn't really want a slow first dance where everyone watches us shuffle round the dance floor so we thought perhaps this would be a fun thing to do with the bridesmaids and ushers.
Please could you let me know the cost of a session, how long this would be and anything else you feel we should know.
If you could email your reply to it would be appreciated.
Hi the wedding ceremony is at 1pm at whitsand bay fort so will hopefully be outside if the weather is fine although there is provision for inside I'm looking for entertainment after the photos as we are not eating til 4pm many thanks Kathie
Event will be indoors with a Vegas theme . We would want elvis to perform for two hours at the evening reception and we would require a dj/disco for after .
We like also like elvis to meet and greet as guests arrive at the reception . Thanks
We are renting a large house in Frome for a stag do. I would like to run a short Bavarian evening before we head out into Bath. It will start at around 5 and last 2 hours or so. We may not need a full band maybe a couple of guys to add a bit of background.
Superb set, whole band really tight, individually and collectively great artists, fronted by superb Nazim Ziryab with beautiful fusion of the Berber folk with a great range of styles - from African beats through jazz, blues and rock. All great to dance to, we felt a brilliant sense of connection with the whole band.
Presumably 1 is low and 5 is high? (I should like to offer the top score!)
We booked Mariachi Rey for a wedding "oop North" to play after the ceremony and before the wedding breakfast. Having thought about that long pause you get at weddings between the photographer and the wedding breakfast, we decided to include something a little different that the guests would enjoy and that would help ease the day along.
As we finished taking the photographs, right on cue, Mariachi Rey entered the function room to gasps of delight from the guests as the band went through their repertoire.
It worked perfectly, the hour long performance bridged that awkward gap, all the guests made the most positive comments and the enthusiasm of the musicians was reflected in the guests' smiles and dancing.
Having Mariachi Rey at the wedding was a delight and we would certainly book them again. We just need another wedding to sort out now!
