Private Chef Review – Chef Ed | 10/10 Experience We recently hired Chef Ed for a private dining experience, and it exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, the evening was flawless. Each course was beautifully presented and full of flavor. We began with perfectly seared scallops on butternut purée, pancetta, and pea shoots — a refined and delicious start. The main course was a standout: homemade Beef Wellington with Aberdeen Angus fillet, wild mushroom duxelle, truffle oil, and Palma ham in golden puff pastry. Served with port jus, seasonal veg, and creamy celeriac mash, every bite was exceptional. A refreshing trio of homemade sorbets (lemon, raspberry, and mango) served as a palate cleanser, followed by a sophisticated dessert of macarons and chocolate crisps — a perfect finale. Chef Ed also recommended excellent wine pairings for each course, enhancing the experience. Beyond his culinary skill, he was warm, professional, and left the kitchen spotless. This was an extraordinary meal, restaurant-quality in the comfort of home. Highly recommended. 10/10!

From start to finish the process was so easy. We had a few people in the group with food allergies and we were given a really good variety of different options to choose from to cater to those. The food tasted amazing and it was presented beautifully and our chef was so friendly, attentive and professional. Would definitely use this service again

I can’t rate them highly enough. Paul was very professional both in the lead up to. and the evening itself. We opted for a meal with the lava stones. The food was fabulous and exceeded our expectations. I can definitely recommend Paul and the lava stones to others. Paul cleaned everything up after the meal. It was a truly great evening for us all and an experience to remember.

Karen was incredible from start to finish. From speaking before the event to ensure everything was perfect to on the day preparing and cooking everything superbly. Karen cooked breakfast for 38 people with ease and then a full meat board buffet and Mexican bbq for evening meal. The honey sesame sausages are still being spoken about!! Karen has an extremely caring nature and cares as much about your event as you do. Thank you Karen

The meal he prepared for my family was exceptional, despite his less than ideal cooking utensils ( the kitchen we provided him with is quite old and quirky) he went above and beyond, amazing presentation and flavor!!!
