Booked for Birthday party

I found the experience of hiring Hot Scotch Ceildh band easy enough. On the night they arrived in plenty of time and were polite, friendly and accommodating. Everyone at the party was super impressed by them. Although we had a lot of children (some quite young) present the band were great at calling the instructions to keep us right and everyone dancing had a great time. For others not dancing, the music was enjoyable to listen to.

What a superb band for our wedding party - the guys were lovely, really friendly and helpful and got everyone involved and having the time of their lives! A ceilidh is such fun and a great way to ensure *all* your guests are involved in the celebrations - there were smiles on the faces of everyone dancing, and everyone watching! I cannot recommend this highly enough - absolutely delightful, highly professional, and a total pleasure to work with to make sure we had an unforgettable evening!

This my first ever Ceilidh and additionally our first time hosting a birthday party around an activity, and my what a great decision it was! The band was simply perfect - their playing style was exactly what the party needed, the caller was so enthusiastic, easy to follow and funny, and the music they played really filled up the hall and got everyone on their feet. Ceilidh's are great. At first I was worried no one would get stuck in, but actually the opposite happened - every single person got on the dance floor and danced! A perfect activity for either a party of friends, a room of strangers, or a mix of both (which we had). I would thoroughly recommend anyone to host their own Ceilidh, and I would definitely recommend BLAG for anyone looking for someone to book :-) Thank you yet again

Black Velvet were excellent and really added to our Irish themed evening. Lots of very traditional music. The guys were very flexible and last minute added in a Ceili set without prior knowledge which was appreciated by all and added to the fun of the evening. Very highly recommended.
