Private Chef Review – Chef Ed | 10/10 Experience
We recently hired Chef Ed for a private dining experience, and it exceeded all expectations. From start to finish, the evening was flawless. Each course was beautifully presented and full of flavor.
We began with perfectly seared scallops on butternut purée, pancetta, and pea shoots — a refined and delicious start. The main course was a standout: homemade Beef Wellington with Aberdeen Angus fillet, wild mushroom duxelle, truffle oil, and Palma ham in golden puff pastry. Served with port jus, seasonal veg, and creamy celeriac mash, every bite was exceptional.
A refreshing trio of homemade sorbets (lemon, raspberry, and mango) served as a palate cleanser, followed by a sophisticated dessert of macarons and chocolate crisps — a perfect finale.
Chef Ed also recommended excellent wine pairings for each course, enhancing the experience. Beyond his culinary skill, he was warm, professional, and left the kitchen spotless.
This was an extraordinary meal, restaurant-quality in the comfort of home. Highly recommended. 10/10!

Fantastic from start to finish. Food was exceptional - just like going to a Michelin restaurant in the comfort of your home. The pork belly course was everyone’s favourite and the vegan tasting menu was also faultless. Every detail was taken off and Edward was very responsive through out. Wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for our next event.

Martin hosted our virtual Xmas cocktail making event. It was really a treat for a very unusual Xmas! All the cocktails were delicious and Martin was fantastic. Would love to do it in person when we can.

Thank you Riad, we had an excellent evening. The food was amazing, I’d recommend the cod & crab fishcake starter, actually I’d recommend everything. 2 weeks before our evening I had a good chat with our chef, Riad, he very quickly understood exactly what I was after & had perfect suggestions, so my menu was perfect for me & my guests, giving us a choice of 2 starters, 2 mains & 2 puds.
I would definitely use Zach Jaxon events again, worth every penny.

Absolutely superb meal.
The food and canapes were excellent.
Also 2 lovely waitresses helped with the serving.
It all helped deliver a fantastic experience on a big birthday. Would highly recommend.
