Black Velvet came to play at our Christmas Party for our CrossFit Gym held in the farmhouse on the site; they were easy and helpful to deal with from the start; everything clear and simple to follow. The performance was perfect for the occasion and Mike and his colleague were easy going and a pleasure to have around. They spent time with a guest who wanted to learn how to play one of the instruments and were great for getting people up and dancing. Thoroughly recommend Black Velvet!

Blag played our recent corporate event, and were fantastic. They understood the brief fully and delivered exactly to it. Communication from David was great. Overall really pleased, and would highly recommend.

Booked Price of My Pig for my wedding party in a marquee. Communication was good leading up to the event. The band arrived on time and played two one hour sets. The band were just as good as we had hoped they would be. The caller Ben was great and got as many people up as possible and gave clear instructions (and was patient when people weren't getting it!). There was a good variety of dances. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for an upbeat ceilidh band with a great caller.

Absolutely fantastic band . We had these booked for our wedding in Newcastle on 30th July 2022.
Music was rocking all night and they had EVERYONE up dancing .
The music was upbeat the band members (4 piece ) were very friendly and chatty.
Can't recommend these guys enough, book them you won't be disappointed . Every single member of our wedding party loved them.

The Black Velvet Band trio were extremely talented musicians who delivered a good range of Irish tunes to a very high standard, although surprisingly not the song "The Black Velvet Band"!
Overall they provided a great nights entertainment, I think there could have been a little more interaction with the audience, but I would recommend them to anyone wanting to hold an Irish themed night. Unfortunately we were not allowed dancing due to restrictions, once these are lifted the night would be even better.

Josie performed for us for a corporate St Patrick's Day celebration event. She was brilliant; thoroughly professional and detail focused in the run up, and went down a storm on the night. She was keen to get the music balance right and we had a mix of traditional Irish music with more contempoary rock and pop. Highly recommend!
