We would recommend Ed a thousand times over! We had the absolute best time, he was so lovely and helpful and the food was all incredible. It was such great value for money too as we had so much and even lots of leftovers too. This was for our friends hen party who is coeliac and Ed took such good care making sure everything was safe for her to eat and adapting the menu for her and our vegetarian guest too. We are so grateful and feel like it was truly an unforgettable experience. We will definitely be booking again in the future! Thank you so much Ed!

We had an amazing meal. Liam was absolutely fantastic from the very start and very accommodating of special requests for a fussy eater. The whole evening was very special the food top class and Liam went out if his way to entertain the kids with some cooking lessons. Highly recommend and will definitely use again.

Our birthday BBQ from Smoulder & Scorch was delicious! - the guys set up with ease, cooked amazing food and packed away without impacting on our gathering. Unfortunately the weather wasn’t as good as we hoped but it didn’t phase S&S - we had enough food to feed our party for lunch, dinner & lunch the following day. Many thanks, we’ll definitely be recommending Smoulder & Scorch and hopefully book them again in the future.

"What a professional service from start to finish., to celebrate a significant birthday. I was helped through the choice of courses to ensure that all our guests would enjoy the tasting menu, even to the extent that at the last minute one guest developed a problem with milk and medication and this was accommodated for. Umberto arrived on time and just got on with the job. Nothing appeared to phase him, coming into a rental holiday cottage with limited facilities. The food was absolutely amazing. The presentation, considering the limited crockery selection, was beautiful. We have eaten taster menus in several high class restaurants, and all agreed this was one of the best. The portion sizes being spot on, as we were able to enjoy every single dish without feeling full, but completely satisfied. Overall it was a fantastic experience, and Umberto left 6 very satisfied guests and a spotless kitchen. Many thanks."
