Vitaliya is an amazing professional. She was a joy to work with.. punctual, thoughtful, and responsive throughout the planning process of my wedding. She took the time to understand the mood we wanted and delivered it beautifully. She delivered the classics perfectly, and for our special Nigerian tunes, she delivered with so much correctness and grace. Every note she played felt personal and full of heart. Thanks Vitaliya.

Hollie was amazing at our wedding!!
She played throughout the ceremony itself and then for around an hour or so afterwards.
She was very professional and just got on with everything on the day, including having to move inside and back out again when we had an unexpected rain shower! Before the wedding communicating with Hollie was really straightforward, she was always quick to reply while being pleasant and helpful.
She played all the songs we requested even though several were not on her repertoire. We'd also asked that she play others in a similar genre as we hadn't requested enough to fill the time, and were really happy with her choices which fitted with everything else perfectly.
Hollie's playing was so beautiful, it really made the day special and so many of our guests commented on how amazing the music was. For me the electric violin music was one of my favourite bits of the whole day.
Would highly recommend Hollie!

The Surrey Pianist played at our daughters wedding which was held in a country setting. In the months before the ceremony, he took time to find the couples requirements and matched them perfectly. He had to travel a fair distance at the start of a busy Easter weekend and was ready, set up and waiting, not complaining about being tucked into the last spare corner. I imagine he is used to grander venues. The weather was perfect (I can't claim he can arrange that of course). However, this meant that the sunshine, breeze and birdsong streamed into the barn. Jon complemented this perfectly with his beautiful piano playing. He managed to perfection the timing of a modern adaptation of Wagners 'Hear Comes the Bride' (By Jonathon Cain), so that he was at the right point as the bride and her dad walked in. There was not a dry eye in the house. A selection of songs were played for the signing of the register and for a change of tempo, he played the happy couple out with a rendition of 'Bear necessities'. I received many complements from guests. Anyone considering using a CD for their wedding, think again. This is fabulous. Highly recommended. 5 *+

Mary was amazing. She played absolutely beautifully and helped to give the perfect tribute to my Granny. I would not hesitate to recommend her.
We delivered next level parties for exceptional companies
We also did more than 40,000 birthday parties. Probably, including your neighbour’s recent big bash.
Birmingham loves a good celebration, and the violin fits the city perfectly. It is elegant for ceremonies, vibrant enough for drinks receptions, and flexible enough to slip from Vivaldi to Dua Lipa without missing a beat. If you are planning a wedding, an award night, a graduation dinner, or a corporate milestone, a violinist in Birmingham adds that polished glow guests remember long after the last glass is cleared.
We have seen violinists transform industrial warehouses into romantic spaces, lift the mood in Jewellery Quarter bars, and fill civic halls with cinematic energy. Electric players bring modern sparkle. Acoustic players keep things classic and intimate. Either way, the violin adds emotion, momentum, and a sense that your event has been curated with care.
Where a Violinist Shines in Birmingham
Ceremony and Drinks Combo
The most popular choice in the city. Live violin for the aisle moment, signing music, and an upbeat switch for canapés or cocktails. It keeps the atmosphere consistent from vows to mingling, which stops the room dipping in energy.
Corporate Award Nights
An electric violinist delivers a high impact opener, then short walk-on stings for winners. Between sections they can loop tasteful background sets that keep the room warm without fighting the speeches.
Multicultural Weddings
Birmingham’s diversity is reflected on every dance floor. Violinists here often handle Bollywood and Tollywood requests, blend them with Western favourites, and move smoothly between traditions during entrances, cake cuttings, and first dances.
Graduation Dinners
Think celebratory, not shouty. A violinist plays feel-good chart hits alongside light classical, which makes conversation easy while still giving graduates that sense of occasion they have earned.
Styles That Work Brilliantly
Crossover Classics
The go-to for ceremony moments. Handel, Pachelbel, Debussy, and lush film themes. Familiar melodies make guests emotional in the right way, and they record beautifully in videos.
Bollywood and Tollywood Requests
Expect recognisable hits from romantic anthems to dance numbers. A good Birmingham violinist will shape sets around family traditions, entrances, and special dedications, with transitions that feel smooth rather than stop-start.
Chart Hits on Electric Violin
Perfect for bars, hotel lounges, and modern warehouse spaces. Clean lines, light reverb, and looping pedals create texture without taking over. You can go from Ed Sheeran to Coldplay to a classic garage hook in one set, which always raises smiles.

Curated suppliers
All Poptop’s suppliers are rigorously vetted and approved by our team of party experts, ensuring you book the very best.
You get atmosphere and height. You also get echo. An electric violinist with a compact PA is often the neatest solution. For larger guest lists, ask about a small sub for warmth at low volumes and a wireless system for short walkabouts during drinks.
Jewellery-Quarter Bars
Space is tight, ceilings lower, and guests are close. Acoustic violin is gorgeous here. If you prefer electric, a single speaker on a stand at ear level keeps the sound even without turning it up.
Civic Halls
You have room to breathe. Bring a professional PA, talk about a discrete stage position, and plan a short soundcheck before guests arrive. A violinist can fill the space elegantly, particularly for black-tie events and ceremonies.
Conference Hotels
These are built for events, which makes the logistics simple. If you are using the hotel’s AV, confirm a spare channel and a DI box in advance. That keeps transitions quick between the MC, videos, and live sets.
What a Violinist Costs in Birmingham
Most bookings sit between £210 and £480. Where you land depends on the length of performance, experience, travel, and how bespoke the repertoire is.
Ceremony only, around £210 to £280.
Ceremony plus one drinks set, usually £280 to £360.
Two to three sets for a corporate evening or wedding reception, often £360 to £480.
Add-ons cost extra. Song arrangements, longer travel, wireless roaming, or a compact lighting look will nudge the price up.
A clear brief saves money and keeps everyone happy. Share timings, the type of venue, guest count, and any key songs. If you want the ceremony and the drinks covered as a package, say so. Birmingham violinists handle that combo all the time and will quote cleanly.
Booking Made Simple With Poptop
We believe booking a violinist should be the easiest job on your list. That is why we have shaped the platform around the way real events run in Birmingham.
You Enjoy a Genuinely Friendly Attitude

We keep communication clear from first enquiry to the final applause. You will know when arrival is scheduled, how long set-up takes, and what the backup plan is if the drinks move outdoors.
You Find What You Need Effortlessly
Pop in your date, guest count, and postcode. You will see violinists available for your window, already filtered for style and budget. No jargon, no faff.
You Discover Everything in One Convenient Place
Entertainment, catering, décor. If you decide to add a sax-and-DJ set after the violinist for the evening, it is in the same basket with the same simple checkout.
You Host a Party That Will Be Remembered
We specialise in touches that stand out. An electric violinist strolling through your drinks crowd, bringing chart hits to life at the perfect volume, makes for photos and stories that last.
You Book With Confidence and Complete Security
All suppliers are vetted, and every booking is protected. If something unusual happens, we will find a suitable alternative. Your payment is safe, and your event remains on track.
