We hired Vines pizza horse box for late-night food for our wedding. The pizza was delicious! It was very popular with the guests and gave everyone a bit more energy as it got later. We asked them to bring some pizza boxes for left-overs - which was great as the pizza tasted delicious the next day! Thanks Vines, we would definitely recommend you to anyone!

Next Day Wedding Afterparty.
Fantastic pizzas, superb set up. The only problem was, I should have ordered more pizzas as guests were going back for more and we ran out of bases earlier than planned.
Feedback from our guests was excellent , praising the standard of food and the well mannered chef. The horsebox certainly contributed to a brilliant day. The garden was left spotless and the horsebox departed discreetly. I would thoroughly recommend Vines’ Pizzas for any outdoor party. Wishing the business well for the future.

The food was wonderful and Shahid did a top job both before and after the evening. So many people came up to me after the party to say how much they enjoyed the food.
Shahid was easy to work with and very relaxed about set up and service times etc. Would definitely recommend and use again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We delivered next level parties for exceptional companies
We also did more than 40,000 birthday parties. Probably, including your neighbour’s recent big bash.
Asian Catering in Birmingham: A Friendly Buyer's Guide
If you’re hunting for Asian Catering in Birmingham, you’re in the right place. We’ve helped thousands of Brummie celebrations find the right food and service, from lavish North Indian wedding feasts to compact corporate lunches near the business district. In this guide we’ll walk you through what to expect, how to brief suppliers, realistic pricing, and the smart ways to shape a menu that suits your guests and your venue. We keep it practical, we keep it local, and we keep it fun.
Why Birmingham is Brilliant for Asian Catering
Birmingham is one of the UK’s most diverse food cities, which means you’ll find real range in style, spice levels, and service formats. That’s handy whether you’re planning a large family wedding, a corporate lunch, exhibition catering at the NEC, or a community celebration in your local hall. Venues are varied too. Banqueting suites and hotel ballrooms handle big guest lists with ease. Marquees work for back-garden weddings and park events. Community centres and office campuses are perfect for straightforward, budget-aware gatherings.
What “Asian Catering” Covers in Practice
Asian Catering is a big umbrella. In Birmingham, the most requested options include:
North Indian wedding feasts with live tandoor, chaat counters, and rich curries.
Pakistani and Bangladeshi mehndi menus with vibrant appetisers, slow-cooked mains, and mithai.
Malaysian satay grills with skewers fired on site, rice packs, and zingy salads.
Sri Lankan hopper stations with sambols, curries, and egg hoppers cooked to order.
Each has its own rhythm. Tandoor and satay benefit from outdoor space or great extraction. Hopper stations create theatre, which is brilliant for receptions. Mehndi menus often lean into colour, shared plates, and quick service so the dance floor isn’t kept waiting.
What it Costs in Birmingham Right Now
Plan for £15–£34 per person for core menus in the city. Premium add-ons, like extra live stations or seafood mains, usually add £3–£8 per person. Many caterers set a minimum spend between £650 and £1,300. The minimum helps cover logistics, chef time, and travel. If your guest count is small, we’ll help you hit the minimum by combining courses, adding canapés, or arranging leftovers boxes your guests will happily carry home.
Choosing the Right Service Style
How the food is served changes the feel of your event and the speed of the day.
Buffet lines keep costs efficient and let guests pick favourite dishes. Great for community celebrations and office canteens.

Curated suppliers
All Poptop’s suppliers are rigorously vetted and approved by our team of party experts, ensuring you book the very best.
Family-style sharing platters feel celebratory and encourage conversation. Ideal for mehndi nights and engagement parties.
Live stations add theatre and freshness. Tandoor breads puffed on site or hoppers cooked to order will always draw a crowd.
Boxed or bento-style lunches suit corporate briefings and exhibition teams that need to eat quickly without queuing.
If you’re unsure, we’ll match service style to venue and timeline. For example, a hotel ballroom with strict turnaround times may favour plated mains to stay on schedule, while a marquee wedding can lean into long, leisurely sharing feasts.
Venues and What They Mean for Your Menu
Birmingham venues each bring a different set of practicalities. We’ll help you pair them with the right format.
Banqueting suites: big capacity, good access, and power. You can run buffet lines, sharing menus, or a mix of both. Live stations are usually easy to position.
Hotel ballrooms: convenient but more structured. Ask about heat-in points, back-of-house access, and serving lifts. Plated services or tidy buffets keep things slick.
Marquees: brilliant blank canvas. You’ll need a catering tent, reliable power, water, and flooring. Live grills and tandoors need careful siting and safety clearance.
Community centres: budget-friendly and local. Confirm kitchen spec early. Warming ovens and hand-wash points are the main constraints.
Office campuses: focus on logistics. Loading bays, security, and lift dimensions matter as much as the menu. Boxed sets or “grab and go” buffets keep corridors clear.
Matching Menus to Moments
Your event type should guide the flow of food.
Large Family Weddings
Welcome with chaat or satay to keep arrivals happy while photos happen. Move to a two-or three-course feast with a vegetarian centrepiece alongside a meat or fish option. End with mithai or kulfi carts. If you’re planning a North Indian wedding, add fresh naan or roti from a live tawa. It lifts the whole plate.
Corporate Lunches
Keep the offer balanced and clear. Mark allergens, add plenty of vegetarian and halal options, and include at least one mild main and one punchier dish. Boxed sets with labelled contents are gold for boardrooms. For town-centre offices, time the drop just before the meeting start to avoid early crowding in reception.
Exhibition Catering at the NEC
Speed, portability, and aroma control are the big three. We suggest compact “fork-only” bowls or boxed lunches, staggered deliveries, and hot-hold units designed for stands. Satay skewers, biryani pots, and noodle boxes travel well. Clear waste-handling plans keep your stand tidy and welcoming.
Community Celebrations
Buffets win here. Keep queues moving with duplicate stations for popular dishes, clearly labelled spice levels, and a separate kids’ section with familiar flavours. We can add urns for chai, plus hot cabinets for samosas and pakoras that need constant replenishment.
Dietary Preferences and Allergens
Birmingham guest lists are diverse. You’ll usually need a mix of halal, vegetarian, and sometimes vegan dishes, with gluten-free and nut-free options clearly identified. Our suppliers manage cross-contamination with colour-coded kit and separate prep zones. Your job is simple. Tell us the count per dietary need when you book, and we’ll plan the ratios so nobody misses out.
Building a Menu That Feels Special
Here’s a simple framework we use to make menus feel tailored without blowing the budget.
Start with a hero: a live tandoor bread station, a hopper chef, or a satay grill.
Balance heat: one mild, one medium, one bold, and a cooling raita or salad.
Finish with a memory: kulfi sticks, warm gulab jamun, pandan cake squares, or a chai cart.
You can swap elements to suit season and venue. Hot days favour salads and lighter curries. Winter evenings lean into rich gravies and aromatic biryanis.
How to Brief Suppliers Like a Pro
Great brief, great event. Include:
Guest count and split by dietary need.
Venue access details, parking, and lift restrictions.
Service style, start time, and any fixed moments like speeches.
Power and water availability, plus any open-flame rules for live grills.
Kit that must be silent or low-smoke for indoor spaces.
Your “must-have” dishes and any absolute no-go ingredients.
We’ll translate this into a service plan and a layout diagram, so everyone knows where to stand and where the naan will magically appear.
Price Control Without Compromise
Keeping within £15–£34 per person is realistic if you design smartly.
Prioritise one live station rather than several.
Use seasonal vegetables and pulses to create depth without excess cost.
Offer smaller dessert portions but more variety to create the feeling of abundance.
For small parties, consider a chef-attended main and self-serve sides. You keep theatre but reduce staffing hours.
Premium add-ons at £3–£8 per person are best spent where guests notice them: live bread, upgraded protein, or a signature starter passed by servers during photos.
