We booked Phil Preen and band for a barn dance. Having attended a few barn dances in the past I assured all the other attendees that it would be a great night and they were not disappointed.
Phil is a first class caller, talking throught the steps in easy stages and the band were absolutely spot on with their musical expertise. Couldn't have wished for a better night.

We are very grateful to David, Michael and Mark for doing such a great job at a Barn Dance/ Ceilidh we held a few days ago to raise funds to help a Catholic Secondary School in Sudan.
It was a really joyful evening. Michael, the fiddle player, was very patient and good natured in explaining the dances.
Between the dances, the band would play pop/jazz music - and people got up and danced to these as well. By the end virtually everybody was dancing. Blag's versatility and range of repertoire area real advantages. David also provided useful information in the weeks before the barn dance
Thoroughly recommend this sort of event. It can be a job persuading people who are unfamiliar with Ceilidhs to come, but once they are there, they really enjoy it. They are very inclusive and we had people of all ages (and dancing abilities) participating. Blag are ideal for such events.

Spring Heeled Jacks provided a great night of music and dancing at our recent Harvest barn dance. Great music, clear caller, variety of dances which were joined in by old and young alike. We've had lots of great feedback. From an organisers point of view they were also great to work with, clear communication, prompt setting up and clearing away, and also flexible to when arranging our initial timetable and when things didn't go entirely to plan. I booked Blag to provide the entertainment at my Retirement Ceilidh last Saturday and they were absolutely tremendous.
With their fiddle player acting as caller, they guided a novice crowd of dancers through a series of well known Ceildh dances and ensured that everyone had fun, providing us with a night we will remember for a long long time.

Silver Street Ceilidh Band played at our wedding in July this year - luckily just after restrictions were lifted so we could dance. And boy did we dance!😄 The band created a fantastic atmosphere which meant that everybody got up and threw themselves into the spirit of the ceilidh. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves (and keep taking about the fun they had).Even the few who weren't dancing enjoyed laughing at everyone else making a fool of themselves! As both my husband and I are from Scotland, it was lovely to be able to be able to bring a taste of Scotland to the south of England for our wedding. The music and caller were fabulous and the band members were all professional and friendly. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you for making our special day that extra bit special❤️
