BLACK VELVET BAND CEILIDH TRIO provides two musicians (guitar/vocals or accordion & fiddle) + dance caller to perform 2 x 1 hour sets of ceilidh dancing in a 3 hour period. Watch the attached video of the band in action. Mike (fiddle), Jase (accordion) and Jon (guitar/vocals) are all featured. The price is based on the band arriving 1 hour before the 1st set is due to start. It takes 30 mins to set up the band's PA system. Background music will be played through the PA system for 30 mins before the 1st set and between the 1st and 2nd sets. When some of our guests were late arriving because of the dreaded road closure and subsequent diversions, they adapted their sets to suit our timings and many non-dancers were encouraged to get up and shake a leg. Wraggle Taggle are a professional award-winning and talented band with many years of experience, all the musicians have been performing, touring and recording for many years. We are flexible enough as regards personnel, instrumentation and musical style to be able to tailor a band to your specific requirements. Award winning musicians Eugene Teevan (accordion), and Mick O'Connor (tenor banjo) form the "core" of the band with bandleader Mick Bailey (guitar/vocals). Add additional instruments below We will bring all necessary instruments and equipment and travel is included. All we need is a couple of normal 3 pin plug sockets and chairs without arms. As a guide I suggest two one hour sets or three 45min sets with short breaks, though my aim is really to fit in with your arrangements. Recent review: I booked Phil and the Brewery Band to play at my 50th birthday party in Gloucester 1st Feb 2020. There were so many different bands to choose from, but I know now I definitely picked the right band to entertain me and my guests. Communication between myself and Phil before my party was good and when I met Phil and the band on the night all members were friendly and had smiles.
