Fabio was a star! He was great from the start accommodating with the menu choices - right through to the end leaving the kitchen spotless! The food was amazing, he brought his own crockery, he served everything up whilst we enjoyed our evening. He was flexible around timings in between courses to allow us to do our murder mystery, and presented everything beautifully. Would highly recommend, and wouldn’t hesitate to use him again!

James was an absolutely spectacular chef and his colleague Ryan who served and cleared was also lovely with them both being very professional and friendly. They worked efficiently in the small space provided and all 12 guests were blown away by the quality and taste of the food. It was also so lovely to be cooked for and not have to worry about any cleaning up after. Anyone who is looking for a private chef for any event I would definitely recommend James and his services.

Ed was wonderful from the start, reaching out to make sure everything was fine, and agreeing without any issue to do the main dish as well as a pescatarian option.
He was very pleasant to have around, and remained very professional while being approachable and friendly.
The food was, I must say, better than I expected - really delicious in fact and everybody loved it; and served in very generous portions.
The fact I literally didn't have to do anything at all was absolutely fantastic - Ed, after asking permission to open my cupboards, laid the table, prepared the food, introduced and served each dish, took the plates away and put them in the dishwasher and left the kitchen clean and tidy.
Overall, a fantastic service by a very nice chef, great food and the gift of a relaxing evening spent with my family instead of in the kitchen.

You were hugely understaffed and whilst the two people tried their best, the food was missing some items and they were quite scruffy and stressed.

We would highly recommend Simon James Catering. The food and service was outstanding. We were celebrating my mums birthday in an igloo and the food topped the whole evening off. We would definitely hire again!
