My event was a women's retreat in Bath. It was a small group, and after the last few years, I wanted it to feel luxurious and comfortable and beautiful.
I wanted a private chef because I wanted to be able to focus 100% on the people that I was with. I didn't want anyone to have to worry about what or when to eat. Everyone had different dietary likes and dislikes and we had a few allergies, so having someone else worry about all of that felt really important to the flow and the focus of the week.
Sean was amazing from start to finish. He was easy to communicate with. He gave me comprehensive menu choices based on my list of dietary needs and likes/dislikes. He managed to be the perfect combination of involved, present, and quietly making magic in the background. He took our 'orders' every morning and made breakfast feel special, and then dinner always came with special touches and extras. He was kind and always on time, the food was amazing and delicious, and he cleared everything away quickly and efficiently. He respected us and our needs really well. We loved him and his food and all felt really well taken care of. His meals made the whole experience even more special.
I would 100% recommend him and if I come back to Bath I would hire him all over again. Thank you.

James and Luke were our chefs for the evening, catering for a surprise party of 12 for a 60th birthday celebration.
Although there was initially a little confusion as to the amount of choices we had from the menu, this was quickly resolved. We settled on a three course meal from the summer menu which was absolutely magnificent. Every plate, every course, whether vegetarian or meat, were all beautiful. The presentation was lovely and every dish arrived at the same time, steaming hot and tasty. I must point out that this was a surprise dinner party for 6 of the guests and yet James had taken time to study each individual menu choice noting who had chosen what before serving us thus avoiding having to ask who had ordered what. Very professionally done.
Both James and Luke arrived two hours prior to our seating time and worked efficiently but quietly, creating our stunning meal and once we had finished they quietly washed and tidied away all of the dishes afterwards. You would never have known they had been there!
I cannot rate these guys highly enough. They were both so polite too and even left a lovely birthday card for the birthday boys before leaving.
Should an occasion arise when I needed a caterer, I would not hesitate in contacting James Howe again.

Karen was brilliant! From start to finish she exceeded our expectations. Her canapes were delicious and there was no issues sorting GF for one of our guests. She was willing to adapt the menu to suit our needs, portion sizes were second to none and the brownie was INCREDIBLE! Couldn't recommend The Little Chalet Kitchen enough. One very happy hen do! Thanks again.

I would absolutely recommend Ivana for any event. She was excellent! We booked her to cook a private dinner after an end of year meeting. The food was amazing, she was lovely and so professional. I had to make some last minute adjustments and she was super accommodating and helpful. She cooked for any dietary requirements (gluten free, vegan and vegetarian). Will book her for any future events we have coming up, no doubt!
