We are the Iron Broo Ceilidh Band. A well known Aberdeen based Ceilidh band with reputation as one of the liveliest and fun Ceilidh Bands on the traditional Scottish music scene. We've played throughout Scotland and abroad for 2 decades. Our very special lively blend of traditional Scottish Ceilidh music never disappoints and we are available for hire throughout Aberdeenshire, Scotland and around the World. We are the ideal ceilidh band to play your ceilidh functions such as weddings or corporate events. All of Iron Broo's ceilidh dances are called so there is no excuse for not dancing! Annasach has been playing for ceilidhs, parties, birthdays, folk festivals and weddings since 1990 throughout Scotland, as well as UK, Ireland, Guernsey, Netherlands, France, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Sweden and USA. We have a solid reputation, providing an energetic vibrant sound to entertain your guests.
We have a dedicated dance caller, Tricia (probably the most important member of the band!), who has years of experience and is guaranteed to calm any nerves and make sure that everyone enjoys themselves. She will also act as compare and announce the bride and groom onto the dance floor for their first dance, cutting of the cake and even last orders, if required.
With Annasach you are dealing with the musicians directly and we know how important the music is to your event for generating the perfect atmosphere.
A truly electric four piece ceilidh band with fiddle, bass, electric guitar and drums, adding an exciting, modern twist to traditional ceilidh music.
Our repertoire is as long as Nessie’s tale and don’t worry if you don’t know the dances as we will guide you with full instructions for each one. Our dances are quite easy and you’ll have so much fun, even wee old Auntie Maureen, or grumpy Sam from finance, might be persuaded to get up and have a go (in fact they might even dance together!).
We bring the house down in all venues - from castles to canvases, from hotels to huts – in fact any event or place that wants to enjoy an evening of merriment with exciting music. A DJ is always included to play your favourite song for the first dance and later in the evening if required.
We like to put the ‘ding’ in ‘wedding’, and the ‘corr!’ in corporate’, so give us a call to make sure your evening will genuinely rock!*

Professional bagpiper from Glasgow. Full highland dress and a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Ceilidh band available.
Eddie comes from Edinburgh and started playing the chanter at school at the age of 10. Over his time at School he played in the school pipe band as well as playing in the Lothian and Borders Police Pipe band and playing with the Feis movement in Scotland. For his final year at school he studied at the National Centre for Excellence in Traditional music based in Plockton. He was taught the pipes by Iain MacFadyen and started learning the Whistle from Hamish Napier.
Eddie spent 4 years studying at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. During his time there he was taught pipes by Finlay MacDonald, Stuart Samson and Allan MacDonald and was taught Whistle and Bouzouki by Marc Duff.

We are the Veritable Ceilidh Club - a ceilidh band with a modern twist. The Morgan Lee Band is a six piece Glasgow-based group. The line-up is Anne Morgan (fiddle, viola, backing vocals); Hugh Lee (lead vocals, mandolin, bouzouki, fiddle, harmonica & whistles); Emma Joyce (lead vocals, accoustic guitar); Tony Llewelyn (accoustic & resonator guitars, backing vocals) and Ian Cleland (bass). We are particularly interested in the alternative edge of the folk music scene although we do play some 'oldies'. Our set list ranges from traditional material through to more contemporary and self-penned numbers . Hence we term our music ’Celtic Eclectica’.
We perform regularly at many folk clubs including The Star (Glasgow), Stirling, Irvine, Dunfermline, and Falkirk to name but a few, and also play at folk festivals and pubs all over the UK. Over the coming months we are looking forward to performing in various pubs and folk clubs further afield. We are particularly excited about our second outing to Co. Durham and the North ...

My work Restaurant is holding a local fundraising event in aid to raise as much money for our chosen charity ( maternity unit at Wishaw general hospital ). The date of even will be on Monday 2nd may. We are having a ' family fun day ' which includes face painting and bouncy castle. We are looking for something a bit extra and different and would love to have your balloon making services. We are looking for a quote if possible.
I'm looking for a ceilidh band for our upcoming wedding. I've probably left it too late now but worth checking.
Wedding is 14 Oct 2017 in dunkeld.
We are looking for a band but not necessarily to play a full normal set. We'd like a good few songs that get people going then probably a dj for a bit with the band doing songs in between non ceilidh music. Or like 2 x 30 to 40 mins sets. Or a mix of the above really.
An idea for availability and cost would be perfect.
We're getting married in Glasgow 5 mins from the city centre on the 4th March 2017.
I was hoping to surprise my wife to be with a band to restart the party after the break in the evening for about 30 mins. With such a short set I was hoping for an acoustic set to maximise the surprise.
She loves Mariachi bands, as well as the Mariachi covers of modern songs (like the Dorito adverts). Its a bit of a long shot at this late stage and this might not be possible at all. But was just looking for a quote, as you can imagine planning and paying for a wedding is costly!
The venue is German themed, so a german band may work if mariachi isn't available, if they can do covers.
Wedding in Gretna Green, Solo set with guitar preferably for the ceremony with a set list of songs, prior, walking the isle and signing, and hopefully a set or 2 later at the evening in a nearby hotel free scope for song list, estimate figures for variation of available timings would be appreciated, thanks for feed back.
The Spring Heeled Jacks provided an excellent evening's entertainment & all our guests remarked how much they enjoyed their music. The pace of instruction was suitable for a mixed audience & we only wish that we could of hired our venue for longer to enjoy the Spring Heeled Jacks for longer. I would recommend them to anyone.
What an amazing group of women, with a phenomenal talent. They truly made our event, they were friendly and interactive with guests. They played a wide variety of music in both their acoustic and electric sets. If you need live music or even if you don't this group is certainly the way to make your party memorable. Epic ladies with fantastic service from start to finish who provided a truly memorable experience for all.
"We hired the lads to play at an LGBT performance and clubnight celebrating Irish culture at an East London venue. They were very punctual, showing up on time for a professional soundcheck well in advance. They had a great attitude and were fantastic at getting the crowd going! They had no problem letting our performers jump in on the mic as well to do some ceilí calling and other silly things we wanted to do. Would highly recommend them for any event where you need a lively trad band. "
