When I went looking for a band for my husband's 60th Birthday party I didn't have a clue where to start. I discovered Poptop and searched through the bands available for the date. What helped me choose The Wonder Whys was their demo and the reviews they had on the site. It is always a leap in the dark when choosing a band for a one off event but I need not have worried. Contact via phone and email directly with the band prior to the party was friendly, timely and informative. I cannot praise the band highly enough, they obviously enjoy performing and their enthusiasm is infectious, their music was exactly what I wanted. Ours was a small event with a range of ages, but they got people up and dancing and the made the party complete. They have a fabulous sound, are lovely people and I cannot thank them enough for making the party perfect, would highly recommend. Husband was delighted and family and friends impressed.

From the moment I booked in December ,Abi from the band contacted me and from then on I knew I had made the right choice to book Soul Department,they were very understanding with Covid always in the background and then when my 60 th birthday party went ahead the band were brilliant from start to finish. They were wonderful, arrived in plenty of time despite a long drive, played absolutely perfect music for the occasion and couldn’t be more accommodating and laid back. They were such a hit with everyone, beautiful voice and very cool guitar. Highly recommend them

"Phoebe and Studio 33 were absolutely phenomenal! They played for 3 hours ( with 3 short breaks) and the dance floor was packed the whole of the time they were on. At times there wasn't anyone sitting down as everyone was up boogieing, including the over 70s present complete with arthritic knees and hips! They were very slick and had oodles of infectious energy and enthusiasm . Phoebe has an amazing voice and everyone in the band were clearly very talented. They were also impressively professional; arriving on time, setting up and dismantling with no fuss, and were polite, friendly and approachable at all times. They learnt a song at my request prior to the event ' We are Family' which is a family tradition of ours and we ended the party on a stomping rendition that had everyone up and dancing with grins on their faces - Priceless ! All in all I am very grateful to them for making my birthday party feel really special. I would thoroughly recommend this bunch for anyone who wants their guests to dance the night away and forget their troubles! Thankyou Phoebe and Studio 33"
