First Class. I booked Phil Preen for a special birthday event. He selected the musicians according to my wishes. Natalie, Norman and Phil’s contribution added to the evening’s success by playing lovely folk music and providing easy to follow instructions. Their performance provided great entertainment and fun for all dancers and non-dancers.

Booked for Birthday party

This my first ever Ceilidh and additionally our first time hosting a birthday party around an activity, and my what a great decision it was! The band was simply perfect - their playing style was exactly what the party needed, the caller was so enthusiastic, easy to follow and funny, and the music they played really filled up the hall and got everyone on their feet. Ceilidh's are great. At first I was worried no one would get stuck in, but actually the opposite happened - every single person got on the dance floor and danced! A perfect activity for either a party of friends, a room of strangers, or a mix of both (which we had). I would thoroughly recommend anyone to host their own Ceilidh, and I would definitely recommend BLAG for anyone looking for someone to book :-) Thank you yet again

Simon, Andy and the band were amazing. We had fabulous music and expert calling on the day. The team were on time, highly professional and even brought their own ambient lighting! We had a very diverse guest list and Andy was extremely accommodating: from choosing the dances, making adaptations and in his direction on the night. Thank you guys, it was a most memorable evening and whilst it was the first time we met, I’m confident it will not be the last!

"We were so pleased we had booked Martin and the SIlver Street Ceilidh Band for our awards night. From first contact to the night itself they were friendly, fun and professional. Their music and calling got everyone up dancing and was just what we needed. The only down side was that being an awards night, the speeches went on a bit and we didn't have as much of the band as we would have liked. It was very easy booking through Poptop. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Thank you Martin."
