Debbie kept in touch before the party by email and phone, she arrived with her crew on time around 3hours before the party started, promptly set up and started cooking the food, they set out salads, cutlery and sauces and told us when the food was ready. We had around 50 to feed, our guests enjoyed the food so much they went back for 2nd and 3rd servings!! There was more than enough food to go around, plus I gave Debbie containers to box up leftovers which we ate the day after!! the ingredients they use are top quality, they cook carribean food to perfection, and Debbie cooks the mutton curry herself which is amazzzzing! everything was so delicious, the food was a hit for our guests and I am sure they will be for anyone that hires them, I would highly recommend Spice it up, thank you so much 😊

What an amazing experience we had with Yana, Jose, Ellie & Ellie from Crocus Paella who catered our postponed wedding reception this weekend! We couldn’t have asked for a better service, or a better team to cater our reception. They were so friendly and made the most excellent food which was so tasty, traditional, filling and the Paella is also naturally gluten free, nut free and dairy free. Everyone really enjoyed it all! There was plenty left over for people to come and get second helpings. The tapas choices were also absolutely excellent, beautiful meats and cheese selections and fabulous croquettes, all clearly labelled with dietary information where needed. I couldn’t think of a better option for catering which suited absolutely everyone’s preferences and needs than the amazing paella from Crocus Paella, all for an extremely reasonable price. The team set everything up with minimal fuss and a huge amount of enthusiasm. We’ll be recommending them to anyone and everyone, don’t hesitate to book them for your event immediately! We would post some pictures but the food was so excellent it was gobbled before we managed to get some snaps!! We will be looking out for their stands around Brighton, wonderful food from wonderful people. Thank you all so much for such a smashing meal!

"Absolutely fantastic food and lovely ladies!
The food went down so well with our guests at the wedding we have had people asking how they can get more!
The only criticism we have is regarding cutlery. No knives were provided making it a little tricky for some of our guests to eat the jerk chicken. We had plenty of knives of our own however it would have been a little smoother if they were included at the time.
The fact that is our ONLY criticism should be evidence of just how amazing these ladies are.

"A few weeks before my event, I changed the date and something on the menu - at no fuss from the Mccallas. From the very beginning contact was easy and regular, payments were straight forward and on the day - I was able to relax and know that guests were in for a treat - not only with the taste of the food, but the service, from the Mccallas, kitchen staff and the waiting staff. I have had many people ask about the caterers since the event and I will be sure to use them again!
