We are really rural so it was easy to forgive Lou and the team for arriving a little late. Setup was calm and professional and they took a hiccup with the power supply in their stride. The food got lots of complimentary comments and there was plenty for folk to go back for seconds and thirds (several people tried all the options). We went for: curry chicken; ackee & saltfish; mixed bean curry along with rice and peas: all delicious.
I would be very happy to use Caribbean Fix again.

I would give them more than 5 if I could. They were absolutely fantastic, absolutely went above and beyond to make everything from big to small wonderfully perfect for us. They thought of everything and really took the pressure off. Such great guys too who we had a great time with. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely use again!
We delivered next level parties for exceptional companies
We also did more than 40,000 birthday parties. Probably, including your neighbour’s recent big bash.
Caribbean catering in Manchester has a special kind of crowd-pleasing magic. It’s bright, generous, and full of rhythm, which is exactly what most Manchester parties need. From jerk chicken that perfumes the room to plantain that disappears faster than you can say “seconds,” this style of food creates instant warmth. In this guide we’ll show you how to book Caribbean caterers for events across the city, what it costs, and how to make the whole thing feel effortless.
Why Caribbean food works brilliantly in Manchester
Manchester’s events scene is energetic and social. People are used to gathering in informal spaces, mixing, and trying new flavours. Caribbean catering slots into this perfectly because it’s relaxed, flavour-first, and naturally flexible. Big sharing platters, street-food style boxes, or island-inspired buffets all work in warehouses, brewery taprooms, city centre lofts, and even on an office terrace if the weather plays nice. The menus travel well, the aromas set the mood, and the service style encourages mingling. It’s a recipe for a lively, happy crowd.
What you can expect from Caribbean catering
A typical menu covers the favourites and scales nicely for different guest counts.
Jerk chicken, pork, or halloumi with proper scotch bonnet kick and plenty of herbs
Curry dishes such as goat, chicken, or chickpea for a hearty centrepiece
Rice and peas, fried plantain, slaw, and festival dumplings to round things out
Trinidadian doubles, patties, and saltfish fritters for handheld street-food bites
Island sauces and relishes like mango chutney and pepper sauce for extra personality
Vegan and gluten-free swaps, including jackfruit jerk, Ital-style stews, and coconut-based curries
Service formats vary to suit your plan:
Street-food setup with a gazebo or trailer for outdoor energy
Buffet lines with chafers for quick service at larger headcounts
Bowl food for a roaming, networking-friendly vibe
Plated service for intimate celebrations that want a sit-down moment
Event types we recommend in Manchester
We see Caribbean catering thrive at the following events:
Agency socials that need quick service and upbeat flavours without fuss

Manchester venues and spaces that suit the vibe
Caribbean catering is wonderfully adaptable, which opens a lot of doorways across the city.
Warehouses are perfect for a street-market layout with multiple food points
Brewery taprooms love the synergy between craft beer and jerk spice
City centre lofts bring that modern, bright backdrop to colourful plates
Office terraces are ideal for post-work socials with quick, tidy service
For outdoor or semi-outdoor spaces, most suppliers can bring a gazebo and self-contained kit. For indoor lofts and offices, we’ll help you check access, ventilation, and whether live cooking is approved or if a hot-hold set-up is the better call.
Themes to set the tone
You can nudge your event from tasty to unforgettable with a theme that ties food, music, and decor together.
Carnival street-food market: multiple stations, steel pan or soca playlist, high-tempo service
Jerk and jazz night: mood lighting, a small live band or curated playlist, slow-cooked mains with elegant sides
Island brunch bowls: lighter dishes, vibrant salads, fresh fruit, and a sunshine drinks menu for daytime socials
A clear theme helps your supplier shape the menu and the service flow, and it makes your planning decisions little to no effort.

Menu planning tips for Manchester crowds
We know the local palate: adventurous, but sensible with spice. These tips tend to land well.
Offer a mild and a hot route. Keep jerk sauce available on the side for those who want the extra kick.
Balance hearty mains with fresh sides. Slaw with citrus, chopped salads, and pineapple salsas brighten the plate.
Plan for late-evening hunger. If your event runs long, a second wave of patties or doubles keeps energy high.
Include a plant-based hero. A strong vegan option means everyone feels catered for, not just accommodated.
Think handheld for networking. Boxes, bowls, and small-plate service make conversation easy.
Dietary needs and allergens
Caribbean menus are naturally adaptable. Many dishes can be dairy-free and gluten-free without losing authenticity. We’ll ask for dietary information when you book, then confirm the final list a week before the event. Clear labelling on the day removes any guesswork for guests with allergies, and we’ll help your supplier place allergen info where it’s easily seen.
Logistics that keep service smooth
Manchester spaces vary widely, so we map the practical bits with you early.
Access and parking: vital for trailers or larger gazebos
Power and ventilation: important for indoor cooking or hot holding
Service timing: coordinate with speeches, sets, or activity breaks
Waste and clean-down: agreed in advance so the space looks pristine at the end
Most Caribbean caterers are completely self-sufficient, but we’ll confirm what’s needed from your venue and make sure everyone’s aligned.
How to get the best value
We love a smart plan. These simple choices keep budgets happy without losing impact.
Choose a focused menu with a couple of hero mains and strong sides
Serve from a compact station to reduce staffing needs at smaller events
Target the £14 to £20 per person range for socials and meetups where speed matters
Use the minimum spend as a planning anchor, then flex guest numbers to match
Book early for popular dates so you lock in the right team at the right price
