Wow, wow, wow!! I loved the sound of Kimm's voice from the audio clips but she is even better than I thought. Everyone commented about her singing, it was simply fantastic! Professional yet friendly and quick to respond to any query from the start, Kimm was a pleasure to deal with and I would definitely recommend her to anyone.

As the entertainment manager of a Black Country beer festival, it was up to me to find acts who would be of interest to attendees. Tóra's performance caught my eye (ok, ears) but was potentially a gamble as we’d never had anyone similar. Nevertheless, gamble I did.
She arrived early, delightfully welcoming and set up quickly with our engineer. And then she began. WOW! It was absolutely incredible. Often festival performances may be seen as “background entertainment” but she stopped people dead in her tracks. I’ve never seen such interest and awe by attendees. Even the regional secretary (who isn’t shy in coming forward), said to me several months later, “That young lady who sang moved to me to tears. I’ve been to many beer festivals, seen many acts and she was by-far the best I’ve ever seen.” High praise but a reflection of many people’s opinion. She got a huge round of applause at the end, with many attendees coming up to pass her thanks. Throughout the day I received about a dozen or so compliments to her performance.
An absolute professional with an incredible vocal range, flexible to the music selection and a genuinely wonderful person to work with (I can compare to many in the past who are quite the opposite). My only regret is that it’s made the task of trying to find acts that are even better for the future, nigh on impossible.

"Hi Paige - I've written one review for Jeremy but more than happy to write another in response to your email.
Jem is quite simply a gem!
He gave an absolutely fantastic performance - cool, subtle, punchy, emotive and he's clearly a brilliant professional artist. An extremely talented and charming guy both vocally and on the keys - and lovely with it.
He put up with my timings on the night which altered by the minute and everyone remarked upon the high calibre of his singing and playing.
I would recommend him for any occasion which requires someone who knows what they are about and has the skill, confidence and expertise to execute superb renditions and keyboard skills. For me he was playing at a private house party but I am certain he is equally at home in the larger arena.
Jeremy Sassoon deserves every success - thank you."

Anna was amazing. She sang some of the songs that we had chosen and some that she had written which were all spectacular. She was non intrusive allowing us to enjoy time with our guests but providing beautiful music for us to appreciate during the reception.. I would thoroughly recommend Anna for any occasion.

"Sorry it’s not clear whether 1 is the best or 5 so I guessed 1st place!
Kimm was absolutely sensational. She went above and beyond throughout the run up to the wedding answering all questions very quickly and nothing was too much trouble, including learning 3 brand new songs. She blew all my guests away, in fact many were interested in her singing at future events.
Thank you so much for your assistance."

Singing Pianist Hire in London: The Smart Buyer’s Guide
If you’re planning an elegant London celebration and want live music that feels personal, versatile, and incredibly stylish, a singing pianist ticks every box. They can glide from Sinatra to Adele, dust the room with jazz standards, then lift the mood with modern chart favourites. In a city full of townhouses, members-style lounges, galleries, museums, riverside spaces, boutique hotels, and rooftop terraces, this act slips in neatly and sets the tone without ever shouting for attention.
We’ve put together a practical, no-nonsense guide to hiring a singing pianist in London. It’s written for couples, PAs, curators, and anyone who wants refined entertainment that’s easy to book and a joy to listen to.
Why a Singing Pianist works so well in London
London events often need music that feels luxurious yet relaxed. A singing pianist delivers both. They look the part, take up minimal space, and cover a huge range of repertoire, from the Great American Songbook to jazz-pop crossover and modern hits arranged with taste.
Where they shine:
Wedding ceremonies and drinks receptions where subtlety and romance matter
Black-tie corporate evenings where conversation should flow easily
Luxury birthdays that want a little West End polish
Proposal sets where intimacy and timing are everything
Gallery previews and private views that call for cultured, unintrusive ambience
Expect polished presentation, careful volume control, and the flexibility to switch from background elegance to sing-along classics later in the evening if you want the energy nudged up.
Typical pricing and what affects the fee
For London bookings, most singing pianists sit around £450–£900. Where you land in that range depends on:
Performance length and number of sets
Weekend peak times and seasonal demand
Whether a quality digital piano and PA are supplied
Early load-ins or late finishes
Special song arrangements or extra musicians
If you need multiple performance sections, for example ceremony plus drinks plus first-hour of dinner, budget for a fuller package. Travel within London is usually included or modest. If the venue has difficult access, allow for a little extra time and cost.
Repertoire that suits “Sophisticated London lounge vibes”
Brief your act around a jazz-pop blend that spans eras without ever feeling dated. A typical arc might look like:

Singing Pianists spotlight 🌟
Jazz & Soul Solo Artist "Vianne"
🎉 New to Poptop
Vianne's evocative vocals, fearless songwriting, and mesmerising stage presence are qualities one would normally associate with an established international artist. But at only twenty, this Bulgarian-American singer/songwriter’s voice already projects the wisdom of an artist twice her age, channelling the likes of Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald, whilst adding a dark, exciting new twist to the genre.
About supplier
Vianne has had an official appearance at SXSW ’22 in Austin and live support appearances during ‘22 with the likes of Snarky Puppy, Macy Gray, Jordan Rakei, Moonchild, Children of Zeus and Chet Faker already under her belt.

Arrival and first drinks: Cole Porter, Ella, Sinatra, Nat King Cole, light bossa
Mid-event uplift: Carole King, Elton John, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder, Dusty Springfield
Contemporary polish: John Legend, Alicia Keys, Adele, Sam Smith, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa
Romance and showtunes if requested: classic West End selections softened for a lounge setting
Tips for a tailored set:
Share two or three anchor artists you love, then give permission for your pianist to read the room
Flag any off-limits songs in advance
If you’re planning a proposal, agree the exact bar and lyric for the down-on-one-knee moment, and where in the room you’ll be
Choosing the right act for your setting
London venues are stunning, but each comes with quirks. Here’s how we match act to space.
Townhouses and members-style lounges
These are intimate. A compact digital piano with a small PA keeps the footprint tidy. Ask for specialist low-volume options so conversation stays easy.
Boutique hotels and rooftop terraces
Great for sunset sets and chic cocktails. Windproofing and weather cover matter outdoors. Check whether terrace power sockets exist and how the load-in works from lifts.
Riverside spaces and museums
Plenty of glass and stone can bounce sound. Request a pianist comfortable with acoustic management. They’ll angle speakers and trim low frequencies to avoid echo.
Galleries and previews
You want cultured, contemporary, and calm. Ask for modern arrangements of familiar songs, lightly voiced, with breaks that match speeches or curatorial notes.
Corporate receptions
Brief for black-tie presentation, reliable scheduling, and confident MC-style announcements if needed. Many singing pianists handle short intros for award moments.
Logistics that make the day smooth
Power and access
One standard power socket is usually enough. Let your pianist know about stairs, lifts, parking, and security sign-ins so they can arrive with the right cases and time.
Instrument choice
If your venue has a tuned acoustic piano, brilliant. If not, most acts bring a smart, stage-ready digital piano with weighted keys and a stylish stand that looks the part in photos.
Sound limiters
London venues often have them. Your musician will work within a limiter as long as they know in advance. A digital piano and a small PA are far more limiter-friendly than a full band.
Space and set-up
A two-by-two metre footprint is usually plenty. Request neutral lighting and a tidy backdrop. If branding is in play, check policies on small logo signs at the keyboard.
Timings
Plan 45-minute sets with 15-minute breaks. For ceremonies, schedule 15 minutes of prelude music while guests seat, a song per aisle moment, and a joyful exit tune.
How to brief the music beautifully
Give your act a clear brief and you’ll get magic back.
Event vibe in one sentence, for example elegant jazz-pop with a modern twist
Three must-play songs and three do-not-play songs
Any moments that need musical cues
Dress code and presentation notes, from black tie to contemporary minimal
Room layout, guest headcount, and whether children or seniors might need volume consideration
Contact for the venue manager so load-in is coordinated
We also encourage a five-minute check-in call in the week of the event to confirm timings and set list shape. It’s the simplest way to remove last-minute guesswork.
Sample running order for London weddings
Ceremony
Prelude while guests arrive, 15 minutes of tasteful instrumentals with light vocals near the end
Processional, your chosen ballad trimmed to the perfect length
Interlude during register signing, two to three songs
Recessional, something joyful that suits the venue’s walk-out route
Drinks on the terrace or in the lounge
Two sets of 30 to 40 minutes, gentle jazz-pop that supports mingling and photos
Dinner or early evening
One set with more recognisable sing-along moments near the end if you want a lift into speeches or the cake moment
London-ready add-ons that elevate the experience
Guest requests cards on the bar or place settings
A short late-evening piano bar set after speeches
Subtle backing tracks for a couple of modern numbers to add lift without extra volume
A second instrumentalist for texture, such as sax or muted trumpet, if the venue and budget allow
Keep the aesthetic consistent. A singing pianist with one tasteful addition still feels boutique. A five-piece suddenly changes the dynamic and the volume.
Booking with Poptop: eight benefits that genuinely help
We’ve built the platform around what London planners and hosts actually need.
Enjoy a truly friendly attitude
You’re not just booking a slot. You’re getting a person who can read a room, chat to guests, and make your event feel warm. We prioritise suppliers who create a lovely atmosphere from the first hello to the final note.
Plan your party in minutes, not days
Instant all-inclusive pricing means no chasing quotes. Put in your date, guest count, and postcode, then compare clear packages right away. Decisions get made fast and stress stays low.
Get an event that is uniquely yours
From first dance edits to your favourite West End number softened for a ceremony, our singers tailor the set to you. Share your vision and they’ll shape the music so it fits, not the other way around.
Relax and plan without the anxiety
We keep communication crisp and transparent. You’ll know what’s happening, who is arriving when, and what equipment is coming. The more you know, the calmer you feel.
Find what you need effortlessly
The platform is simple to use. Filters help you zero in on the right singing pianist for a townhouse, a museum, or a rooftop. You don’t have to be an event pro to book like one.
Discover everything in one convenient place
Need sound, lighting, and catering alongside your pianist. You can sort the lot in one place. That’s time back in your diary and fewer moving parts to juggle.
Host a party that will be remembered
We champion acts that bring a bit of London sparkle. Thoughtful repertoire, beautiful vocals, and a classy stage look add up to an experience your guests will talk about.
Book with confidence and complete security
We vet performers, monitor reliability, and step in with alternatives if something goes off-plan. Your booking is protected by our money-back guarantee, so you can proceed with total confidence.
What to ask before you confirm
Are ceremony and drinks covered in one package
Do you bring a digital piano and compact PA
Have you worked with venue limiters and do you carry the right adapters
How long do you need to load in and sound-check
Can you learn one or two special songs
What are your clothing options for black tie or contemporary smart
If those answers come back fast and clear, you’ve found a professional who’ll be easy to host.
Mistakes to avoid in London venues
Assuming the venue piano is tuned. Check the service date or plan for a digital piano
Ignoring access routes. Some townhouses have narrow staircases and time windows for load-in
Over-amplifying. In echo-prone rooms, tasteful levels are everything
Leaving speeches unscored. Ask your pianist for short transition cues so the room never feels flat
Your next steps
Decide where the music sits in your flow. Ceremony and drinks, or drinks only.
Choose the mood in one line. Elegant jazz-pop crossing vintage and modern.
Shortlist two or three singing pianists whose demos feel like your event.
Share your timings, access notes, and three must-plays.
Confirm the package, relax, and look forward to that first chord.
Poptop is the most reliable and straightforward way to hire a singing pianist in London. You get instant pricing, friendly experts, and total peace of mind. Tell us your date, guest count, and postcode, and we’ll show you refined, ready-to-book options that fit your venue and your vibe. Let’s make your London event sound as good as it looks.
