Fantastic! John is a really talented musician. He played a wide range of music to suit everyone's taste. Guests are still talking about John week's after the event. "Wasn't John great?" "So glad we had John at the party!" It was the part of the party the guests enjoyed most. Highly recommend John. Really professional and lovely manner.

We hired DJ Stef for our wedding this weekend and we couldn’t be happier. He was brilliant to communicate with, was very patient and responsive to all of our questions. How much is it to hire the function band in London?

On the Poptop platform there is a wide variety of lively bands available to hire for functions in London. Whether you are looking for a group that plays funk, jazz, rock’n’roll, country, swing, rock, blues, pop favourites, or an acoustic mariachi band in full Mexican attire, we have a talented band ready to play at your event. Prices range from £175 to £650 per event, depending on the supplier and the duration of the service.

How long will a function band perform at my party?

The function band will perform for as long as has been arranged upon booking. Each group has its own choice of set times that can be viewed on their Poptop supplier page. Generally, bands give you the choice of booking two to three sets per event with breaks in between each set. For example, you may choose to hire a function band in London to play 2 x 1 hour sets with a 15 minute break, or 3 x 40 minute sets with 20 minute breaks in between.

Can I check a setlist of a certain function band?

Every London function band has a Poptop service description page which displays their setlist. Some groups specialise in different genres and eras, and so provide multiple setlists for you to choose from. Before the event you can discuss the songs with your chosen group and make sure that your favourite songs from the list make the final selection. Some groups are happy to receive special requests but they need to be made with plenty of notice.

Do I need to provide or set up any equipment?

Whichever band you choose to perform at your London function they are required to provide their own equipment. Every one of Poptop’s service providers include the sound equipment, the set up and soundcheck within the booking price. Some bookings also include extras such as atmospheric lighting and suitable background music that they play between sets when they are taking their breaks. You can check these details on each supplier page.
