I am looking for a female singer for a friends wedding.
Wedding ceremony and looking for bag piper for guests arriving and shortly after ceremony also
I am just wanting someone to sing outside (hopefully) for an hour or so whilst the guest are having their welcome drinks and maybe a couple of songs during the meal.
Our party took place on a horrendous cold windy and rainy day; but, you wouldn't have guessed it! Steelosophical (duo with DJ services) bought the Carribean weather to the party and was all the guests talked about even 2 weeks after the party. The band were professional, and surprised me with their range of songs ( there was something for all ages and cultures) and their talent with one of the members taking a turn on the mic. They arrived early to set up so the guests were played to on arrival. The hotel in fact were late with the reception drinks which didn't matter as everyone was so transfixed with the band. Gary was a pleasure to deal with and happily used his experience of events to judge the mood of the event and play music accordingly. My mother always has to complain about something and she was full of praise for the band and the party as a result of the band. Result!! I would rate them 11/10 and would highly recommend them.
Just a note to thank you so very much for your fantastic piano playing on Friday at our daughter’s wedding! From the very outset you helped us so much, and we were very pleased at how you ‘got involved’ and made such valuable suggestions prior to the big day. As we had chosen more ‘pop’ music for the event, we were not sure how it would translate into a piano solo, and your reassurance on this was invaluable. You were so receptive to our ideas, and keen to find out exactly what we wanted for our ‘big day’, and ensure that you delivered just what we wanted! Needless to say, your piano playing was superb, and the ceremony music we had chosen sounded fantastic. Many of our guests also commented on how much they enjoyed your extensive repertoire both before and after the actual ceremony pieces. We were impressed at how smartly attired you were, clearly making the effort to fit in with the type of event – this is so important. You were attentive, polite, chatty and great fun – we could not have wished for anyone better! Once again, thank you for helping to make our daughter’s wedding day so special!" Sonia
Jess was a fantastic singer & even learnt & sung a requested song which was my parents special song when they first met, which on their 50th wedding anniversary was lovely. When booking Jess I thought we had arranged that she would sing 2 50 min sets with background music in between to cover the whole party which was from 1pm until 5pm, if this was my fault I apologise but jess finished & left at 3pm which unfortunately left us with no music, luckily I live not far from the venue so my husband & I drove like lunatics 2 grab a speaker & some music! This was a slight downside on parents 50th wedding anniversary party. Having said this as I previously said jess was a wonderful singer & I would book her again but totally confirm her time of singing for any party or function, maybe I overlooked her timing upon booking but not organising functions everyday I thought upon stating the times of the party this would have been taken into consideration. Had we have known jess would only be singing until 3pm we would have arranged other music. However it was a lovely afternoon and everyone thoroughly enjoyed Jess's performance Kind regards Kerry thraves
