Booked for Wedding

We had the band at our son's wedding and they were great. They got everybody going and David's instructions were very good and very funny, too. Hardly anyone knew how to dance these dances, so chaos ensued in the most entertaining way. By the last song we finally got it and they kept playing for 15 minutes (!) because everyone was most enthusiastically participating. These guys are wonderful musicians and entertainers. Thank you so very much!

Bowreed were great! They played lovely Celtic music to listen and dance to. The caller was good humoured and managed a large room full of total novices! And we had an exhilarating time to satisfy a very wide range of ages, all at the same time.

What can I say? Phil and his band were absolutely superb would be an understatement. Our wedding party was enhanced beyond measure by their professionalism and talent. As a caller Phil is witty, persuasive and a consumate entertainer going above and beyond to deliver fun and enjoyment. From the moment they started till the moment they finished they had us all dancing our socks off, in one case quite literally. Going above and beyond our caller even made up the numbers for our last dance. I would have no hesitation in booking Phil for future family events.

The Black Velvet Band trio were extremely talented musicians who delivered a good range of Irish tunes to a very high standard, although surprisingly not the song "The Black Velvet Band"! Overall they provided a great nights entertainment, I think there could have been a little more interaction with the audience, but I would recommend them to anyone wanting to hold an Irish themed night. Unfortunately we were not allowed dancing due to restrictions, once these are lifted the night would be even better.
