Whilst bell tents can be a pain to transport due to their bulkiness, they are super quick and easy to put up – not that you need to worry about transporting or erecting them because here at Poptop, all our suppliers will do this for you as part of their price to make things super easy for you and your event!

You will want to make sure you have all the correct dimensions for the space you are hoping to plonk your bell tent in. Unlike when shopping for your average tent, bell tents are not measured in a ‘4-man’ metric but rather by the size of the actual tent itself. Bell tents typically range from 3m up to 7m.

If you’re looking to have your guests sleep in the bell tent, you will want to consider how comfortable you want to be. If you don’t mind sleeping on the floor and being packed in like sardines, a 5m bell tent could sleep up to 8 people! However, if you’re looking for more of a glamping experience or just prefer a bit more space, you could comfortably sleep 5 or 6 adults.

If you’re booking one of our supplier’s fully furnished bell tents, you should account for how much space this would take up too! These are perfect for handling all the fuss but if you prefer to set your own space up, we have plenty of options for this also.

Traditionally, bell tents have been made from 100% cotton canvas which means they are highly breathable and durable! However, this does mean they generally cost more and unfortunately are not fully waterproof upon first use so you will definitely need to consider the weather on the day of your event.

There are, however, new options available to you now with polyester, oxford canvas and polycotton bell tents emerging as great alternatives all with different pros and cons. If you’re worried about the weather, oxford canvas bell tents are fully waterproof from the first use so these would be the better option in this case.
