Recent review: "I was delighted when I found a local company to cater for my sons surprise 30th birthday which we held in the garden for around 40 people.When I contacted Andrew he promptly got in touch and sent me sample menus which were just what I was looking for. On the day of the party Andrew brought the food, supplied the tables, condiments, plates and cutlery and Karen. The set up was professional and took no time at all. Karen served the food and showed great customer service to my guests. The food was of high quality, especially the burgers and I loved the baked potatos and the monk fish. My guest were complimentary about the food and were interested in how I had found “The Secret Chefs”. I would not hesitate in recommending The Secret Chef to my friends. I received a professional and high quality service from beginning to end. Karen cleared away the barbeques and tables without me even noticing. There was no fuss and no mess. Hiring The Secret Chefs took pressure off me and therefore I was able to enjoy the party fully with my guests. All I had to worry about was the weather and thankfully the sun shone for us. Thank you once again to Andrew and Karen (Our Secret Chefs), Well Done!"

Recent review: "We have used catering companies often but this was a last minute event and the company we used before could not accomadate us. I had hoped that they would be much the same, sadly they most definitely are not. The last company we used when it was for similar numbers provided us with an abundance of food which was all freshly made, they set up and left freshly made pastries, rice dishes and desserts with jugs of cream etc, the empty dishes etc were collected the next day, can I point out that they were also cheaper per head than the company recommended by your company. I was not in when the buffet arrived but my Wife called to say she was not happy about what had been delivered. I found to my dismay that the buffet provided appeared to be about £50-60 of Iceland Fayre which had been heated and passed on to us at a huge mark up. Not one thing was freshly made, and as I stipulated the buffet was for 30 ish, we got 3o ish of each item, god forbid If somebody wanted another sausage roll. We ended up having to spend another £170 on pizzas etc from dominos as we were too embarrassed to present the buffet to our guests, not only would I not recommend this company I would actively advise against using them. My wife and I were disappointed and embarrassed in front of our guests. At £330 this was daylight robbery. When I employ the services of a catering company I assume I am going to get good , fairly priced wholesome food not stuff out a box heated up then served on paper plates, this buffet would maybe have suited a 5 year olds birthday party st best."

Recent review: We booked Real Food Chefs to help celebrate my wife’s birthday with a small dinner party. Marcus and Davis were warm, friendly, the food was fantastic and the kitchen was left sparkling clean. From our initial booking Marcus offered a brilliant menu with lots of variety and kept us up to date in the run up to our event about the great local produce he’d be using, which was a really nice touch. On arrival Marcus and Davis were so friendly, we felt instantly comfortable having them there. They were there to answer any questions and tell you about the food, but not intrusive and never too much. The main event, the food, was phenomenal and was incomparable to our other experiences with private chef hire. The flavours were well balanced, food beautifully cooked and well presented…so good I forgot to take any pictures! As a meat eater, I’m always reluctant to try my wife’s vegetarian dish, however the vegetarian wellington was so tasty I had to try it a couple of times. At the end of an amazing three courses, I headed to the kitchen, nervous of what I’d find and to my complete surprise the kitchen was tidier and cleaner than Marcus had fount it, crazy considering he’d prepared so many different dishes for each course. Thank you again for a lovely evening, we will be booking Real Food Chefs again soon.

Recent review: Matei catered for a big birthday festival. He communicated throughout the planning stage, coming to the house to meet us, really discussing what it was we'd like on the menu, taking into account any special dietary requirements. On the day itself, Matei and his team arrived early to prepare - everything went really smoothly! We chose to have a BBQ. There was a huge range of food, and everyone loved it! I can't speak highly enough - Matei helped to arrange the perfect day.
