Jonatan (John Valcas Art) is a really great character artist. I booked him for 3 hours as part of the entertainment for my birthday celebrations. I checked out his show case and decided from the reviews that he would be ideal for my event. It was based in London and I thought it would be a problem for him to travel to me but he said it was not an issue as he was used to travelling to various different areas. We had a Zoom call so that I could meet him before the event and decide on timing. On the day, he set up quickly, ready to start immediately. I found him a private spot outside on the terrace so that guests could sit out in comfort away from the dancing and have their portraits done. However, he is also used to drawing people on the go with dancing or other things going on, or sitting at their tables if no dedicated space is available. It was really popular with everyone. He managed to fit everybody in. We had so much fun with all of us showing friends and family the results. He went the extra mile and stayed on a bit later for me to have my own special picture done in colour. I would really recommend him to bring the fun element into any event.

Booked for Christmas party

Francesco was a great addition to the Royal Albert Hall staff party in January! Everyone was keen to get their caricature done and the drawings did not disappoint. He was flexible with his timings and kindly agreed to stay on later than planned to get more staff drawn. He had a great set up and was self-sufficient and an all-round nice guy. Will definitely have him back for more events in the future!

Wow what can I say Gremlyn was amazing he was everything we hoped for and more. He arrived on time as promised despite coming down to Eastbourne from Swansea and worked solidly through the whole 5 hours of our booking. Gremlyn was great with the kids as well as the adults talking to them while doing there drawings were being done. I would recommend Gremlyn 100% and wouldn’t hesitate to book him again for future events as would many of the guests who asked where we found him. Depending on the venue, I decide if to work in a mingling with guests style or set up in a suitable space with a small easel and a couple of chairs. When given the nod, I start to draw quality quick - sketch drawings of willing guests, using a range of marker pens on good quality cartridge paper - larger size for double and group caricatures. All caricatures are placed in protective sleeves on completion.
