As with most weddings, not everything ran exactly to schedule, but Lee was incredibly adaptable and went with the flow without any issues. What can I say JWS events were brilliant, early to set up and played a great mix of music which guests loved. Had the best time dancing and also taking requests from our guests. Dave was a brilliant DJ, really easygoing and professional. I booked Dave for my 30th birthday party and he was key in making the night a success! We paid a bit extra for the karaoke option just in case a few people wanted a go later in the night however our guests enjoyed it so much that a large part of the night ended up being karaoke. I asked for a mix of old classics, chart music and early to mid 2000s and all the song choices were great and had everyone dancing. I would highly recommend Dave and wouldn’t hesitate to book him for any event in the future!

Should I provide any equipment if I hire a wedding DJ on Poptop?

Not at all. You are not required to provide any equipment. The DJ will provide everything he or she needs. Before the event, the DJ will provide the sound equipment and set them up which is included in the service fee. The items provided include microphones and PA, some DJ also bring lighting. If you need any other equipment, you can contact a supplier and clarify the necessary information.

Does a wedding DJ accept song requests during the event?

As part of service standards, the DJ will discuss your music preferences with you before the event. You also have the opportunity to customise the key and tempo of any song in the catalog. You can pick as many or as few songs as you’d like, and the wedding DJ will know how to incorporate them at your event. Some of the songs you can choose are Paradise by Coldplay, What Makes You Beautiful by One Direction, Sing by Ed Sheeran and Think Out Loud by Ed Sheeran.
