We hired Lewis for our wedding and he was amazing. Initial booking was easy and he was very happy to sort out playing our first dance (beautiful rendition of our song). On the day he was with us ahead of time and set up with no issues. Performances sounded beautiful, at our venue we could hear him throughout the venue which created a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. As a singer myself, I'm jealous of how good Lewis sounds, incredible voice. Volume was also well placed, not too loud even in the main space, well thought out for the venue. Would definitely recommend and will be on the lookout for future events to book him for. Thank you Lewis for helping to make our wedding day so special!

He was reliable, professional, friendly, approachable and easily contactable. The booking process was so smooth and easy and he has a fab choice of songs to choose from. Thank you so so so much James! You really made my party for me!!

Without a doubt I 100% recommend Callum for your wedding! He was quick to respond from the very beginning and throughout. We celebrated our wedding at The House for and Art Lover on the 30th June. Due to circumstances beyond our control the ceremony was over an hour late. Callum was extremely understanding, offering us the greatest of flexibility. He added a magical touch to our day. Thank you Callum!

Tamilla provided an absolute delightful accompaniment to our wedding. She played during the ceremony itself and then provided the background music to our champagne reception which was an outdoor event, set in the beautiful gardens of a Cotswold hotel on a gloriously warm afternoon. She reflected our requests and the joyous mood of the occasion perfectly and there is no doubt that her presence enhanced the occasion.
Tamilla's approach during the lead up to the event and on the day itself was professional and supportive.
I have no problem in recommending her to other couples or for other events.

The Power of One: Why a Solo Musician is a Stroke of Genius for Your Event
Before we get into the different instruments, let's just take a moment to appreciate the unique magic that a solo performer brings to the table. It’s a classic choice for a reason.
They Create an Instant Atmosphere: A single instrument, played with skill and passion, is a powerful tool. It can instantly set a mood, whether you’re aiming for romantic and heartfelt, cool and sophisticated, or relaxed and informal. It’s the fastest way to give your event a distinct and memorable personality.
It’s an Undeniable Touch of Class: There is an elegance to live instrumental music that is simply unmatched. A harpist playing as guests arrive at a wedding or a jazz pianist tinkling the ivories during a corporate dinner adds a layer of sophistication that shows you’ve really thought about the details.
They are Incredibly Versatile: Don’t assume a classical violinist can only play Bach. Many of today’s top solo musicians have a hugely diverse repertoire, and can switch from a beautiful classical piece to a stunning instrumental arrangement of a current chart-topper in the blink of an eye.
It’s a Practical and Perfect Fit: A solo musician is the ideal solution for so many London venues. They don’t require a huge amount of space, and they can provide a beautiful musical presence without ever overpowering conversation. They are the perfect balance of entertainment and ambience. This is how you host a party that will be remembered for its unique and elegant touches.
Finding Your Sound: A Guide to Solo Instruments for Your London Event
The most exciting part of the process is choosing the instrument that will create the perfect sound and atmosphere for your event. Each one has its own unique personality.
The Saxophonist
The Vibe: Effortlessly cool, smooth, sophisticated, and can be seriously funky. The saxophone is a wonderfully versatile instrument that can be chilled-out and soulful one minute, and upbeat and energetic the next.
Perfect For: Creating a cool, jazzy atmosphere at a corporate drinks reception, a stylish wedding, or a cocktail party. An Ibiza-style saxophonist playing alongside a DJ is also a massive trend for a high-energy party on a rooftop bar.
Sounds Like: A mix of classic jazz standards, smooth soul and funk tunes, and innovative, soulful arrangements of modern pop and dance tracks.
Ideal London Venues: Swanky hotel bars, rooftop terraces, modern private venues, and anywhere you want to inject a bit of smooth sophistication.

The Vibe: Timeless, elegant, romantic, and the ultimate all-rounder. There isn’t a mood or a style of music that a talented pianist can’t create. They are the definition of musical versatility.
Perfect For: Literally any event. They can provide beautiful classical music for a wedding ceremony, gentle, unobtrusive background music for a formal dinner, or a full-on set of pop and rock'n'roll classics for a proper singalong party.
Sounds Like: The entire history of music at their fingertips, from classical masterpieces by Beethoven and Chopin to timeless classics from The Beatles and Elton John, right up to modern hits from artists like Adele and Ed Sheeran.
Ideal London Venues: Hotels and historic venues that have their own beautiful grand piano are a perfect match. For other venues, a professional pianist will bring their own high-quality digital stage piano and equipment.
The Acoustic Guitarist
The Vibe: Intimate, relaxed, heartfelt, and cool. An acoustic guitarist brings a warm, organic, and authentic feel to any event. It’s a modern and popular choice that creates a wonderfully personal atmosphere.
Perfect For: A drinks reception at a contemporary wedding, a relaxed garden party, a summer corporate event, or a festival-themed celebration.
Sounds Like: Beautifully arranged instrumental versions of classic and contemporary indie, folk, and pop songs. Many are also incredibly talented singers, offering you the option of an acoustic singer-guitarist.
Ideal London Venues: Outdoor spaces like rooftop bars and hotel gardens are perfect. They also create a brilliant, relaxed vibe in a private venue or a cool, modern bar.
The Harpist
The Vibe: Absolutely magical, ethereal, elegant, and breathtakingly beautiful. The harp has a huge "wow" factor and creates a sound that is truly heavenly.
Perfect For: A wedding ceremony (it’s the ultimate instrument for walking down the aisle), a high-end corporate reception, or a formal dinner where you want to create a sense of pure, unadulterated elegance.
Sounds Like: A stunning repertoire of classical pieces, beautiful Celtic and folk melodies, and, surprisingly, incredibly beautiful and intricate arrangements of modern pop songs. Hearing your favourite chart hit played on a harp is an amazing experience.
Ideal London Venues: The grand spaces of historic venues, luxury hotels, and theatres are perfect for the harp, as the beautiful sound can travel and fill the room.
The Violinist / Cellist
The Vibe: Classically beautiful, dramatic, and full of deep emotion. A solo string player can create moments of incredible poignancy and romance. Many now also perform on electric instruments, creating a high-impact, contemporary fusion sound.
Perfect For: A wedding ceremony or a formal drinks reception. A classical string player is also a wonderful choice for a sophisticated corporate gala. An electric violinist is a show-stopping choice for a product launch or a modern party.
Sounds Like: A beautiful mix of classical masterpieces, iconic film scores, and stunning, soaring arrangements of contemporary pop and rock songs.
Choosing the right instrument is how you get an event that is uniquely yours, with a musical mood that is perfectly tailored to your vision.
The London Stage: A Soloist for Every Venue and Occasion
A talented solo musician is a brilliantly versatile choice for any of the fantastic events that take place across London.
Weddings: A soloist can provide the soundtrack for your entire day. Imagine a harpist or a classical violinist for your ceremony, a cool acoustic guitarist or a smooth saxophonist for your drinks reception, and a brilliant pianist to entertain guests during the wedding breakfast.
Corporate Events: For a networking event, the sophisticated ambience created by a jazz guitarist or a pianist is perfect. For a high-impact product launch, a contemporary electric cellist can provide a real talking point.
Private Parties: A solo musician can make a birthday or anniversary party feel extra special. A guitarist who can play a set of well-known pop covers or a pianist who can lead a singalong are both fantastic choices.
Festivals: An acoustic guitarist on a smaller stage is a classic and beloved feature of any festival, creating a chilled-out and intimate vibe.
When it comes to venues, professional soloists are experts at making any space work. They are a particularly great choice for the unique spaces London has to offer, from a theatre with incredible acoustics to a rooftop bar with a stunning view.
What's the Score? A Guide to Solo Musician Costs in London
Hiring a top-quality professional musician is a wonderfully affordable way to bring a touch of class to your event. In London, you can expect to budget between £200 and £500 per event.
So, what influences the final price?
Experience and Reputation: A highly acclaimed musician who has trained at one of London’s top conservatoires and performs regularly at prestigious events will naturally command a higher fee.
Performance Time: The price will depend on how long you need the musician to perform for. A standard booking is often for 2 x 45-minute or 2 x 60-minute sets.
The Equipment: Most soloists are self-contained. However, a pianist may need to bring their own digital piano and PA system if the venue doesn’t have one, and this will be factored into the cost. A harpist will need to factor in the logistics of transporting their large and delicate instrument.
Special Requests: If you ask the musician to learn and arrange a new piece of music specifically for your event, there may be an additional fee to cover their rehearsal time.
