I am really pleased that I chose Seral as one of the entertainers at my party. He was fantastic! I had 30 adults and 4 children (ranging from 18 months to 11) I picked him after watching his promotional videos and pictures but mainly because I scaned all the reviews, not only about his talents but also all the attributes about him personally. All of them turned out to be accurate. We had a Zoom call before the event and I found him really easy to liaise with. He was both friendly and professional and we roughly planned out the timings and how it would work. He started off with the group of children and thrilled them with his various tricks. All my guests were seated so he then moved around to each table and asked each group whether they wanted Magic or Mind Reading. He came to my table first and we said we wanted both! ( I highly recommend that you choose both) His slight of hand is amazing. We watched him very carefully and couldn't fathom out how he did any of the tricks. The Mind Readng part was pretty phenomenal and the shock on everyone's face with the mobile phone trick had everyone talking about it long after the show was over. Towards the end of his act he put on a floor show with some more spectacular tricks. I would highly recommend him. You wont regret it.

I recommend that in part one of the act would be more appreciated in elderly care homes. The 2nd half if the show was excellently received and reported from party goers.

Peter’s tricks were great. Many of my guests commented that he was amazing. He also spent some time entertaining the children at the event, and they were also very impressed.

Looking for a hypnotist in London who’ll wow a corporate crowd or get a wedding talking for weeks? We’ve produced and booked hypnosis shows across the capital, from hotel ballrooms to skyline rooftops, and we’ve learned what really works here. This guide keeps it practical. We’ll cover when a hypnotist lands best, how to prep your venue, realistic London pricing, and the little production touches that turn a good act into a headline moment. If you’re short on time, skip to the booking checklist and you’ll still make a confident choice.
Why a Hypnotist Fits London Events So Well
London audiences are sharp, busy and used to high standards. They want something that feels premium and moves quickly. A professional stage hypnotist delivers exactly that. It’s interactive theatre with clean comedy, no cringe, and a pace that suits after-dinner slots or conference agendas. For corporate awards and product launches it reads as slick mind entertainment. For upscale weddings and private events it’s a brilliant ice-breaker that unites mixed groups fast.
What we love most is the versatility. A show scales up for theatres with lighting and AV, or down for a private members-style space with minimal tech. The tone can skew corporate and polished, or playful and family-friendly, without losing impact.
Event Formats That Land in London
Match the style to your occasion and you’ll get the best reaction.
Corporate awards: A 30–40 minute set right after the final trophy keeps the room energised without dragging the evening out. The material stays brand safe, the humour stays clean, and you avoid that post-dessert dip.
Upscale weddings: A focused after-dinner show at 25–35 minutes is ideal. You’ll get the couple, close friends and family involved in a feel-good way, and you’ll cut through the lull between speeches and first dance.
Product launches: Go for a punchy 15–20 minute “mind-control” showcase that nods to the product story. Quick routines, high production value and a strong visual closer create an on-brand talking point for press and VIPs.
Christmas parties: A festive edit of the clean comedy set, 20–30 minutes, keeps it lively without tipping anyone over the edge. Pair it with a pre-show mingle if you want the performer warming the room before the reveal.
Private and VIP evenings: Think intimate, theatre-style performance with a tighter volunteer pool and tailored patter. Shorter sets, more nuance, and an emphasis on exclusivity.

Curated suppliers
All Poptop’s suppliers are rigorously vetted and approved by our team of party experts, ensuring you book the very best.
Hotels and ballrooms: Use a low riser so the front row can see every expression. Keep the dance floor in place for the show, it gives room for volunteers and choreography. Position the PA so the back tables hear the setup lines clearly.
Theatres: Lean into production. A clean wash, a couple of specials and walk-on music add polish without blowing the budget. If you’re using in-house tech, confirm a sound check window so the induction mic levels are dialled in.
Rooftops: Wind, traffic and skyline ambience are part of the charm and the challenge. Choose directional microphones, avoid staging too close to open edges, and brief guests to gather tight so focus stays on the action.
Private members-style rooms: Keep it close-up theatre. Chairs in a shallow arc, soft wash lighting, and a simple backdrop. The intimacy helps volunteers relax and ensures no one feels put on the spot.
Galleries: Beautiful acoustics can be echoey. Add a small PA with a subtle sub, and confirm a performance area that keeps artwork safe. A neutral backdrop keeps photos timeless.
Themes and Tones You Can Request
A good London hypnotist will tailor the vibe to your brief. Popular routes include:
Slick corporate mind showcase: Fast routines, tight scripting, and a finale tied to brand values or campaign language. Works brilliantly for product and internal events.
Clean comedy after-dinner set: Classic stage hypnosis with modern sensibilities. Playful, respectful, no red flags for HR, and no material that embarrasses volunteers.
Executive energiser: A short, high-impact segment for conferences, intended to wake the room after lunch. Expect audience participation from the seats and one or two quick stage moments.
What it Costs in London and What’s Included
Typical pricing for a professional hypnotist in London sits around £500–£650 for a show, with optional extras for pre-show ice-breakers or mingle work. That fee usually covers performance time, local travel, core PA where appropriate, and basic lighting if the act carries it. If you want a pre-show mingle to warm the crowd, expect a modest add-on. If your venue needs full production, budget separately for staging, larger PA and lighting.
To avoid surprise costs, we favour instant, all-inclusive pricing upfront. It saves endless back-and-forth and lets you book fast.
Run of Show That Actually Works
Here’s a simple schedule we use across the city:
Performer arrives early for sound and space check.
House manager or planner confirms the volunteer release approach and photo policy.
Pre-show mingle if booked, no more than 20 minutes.
Host intro, then the main set at 25–40 minutes depending on event.
Quick thank-you, photo moments with volunteers, and a clean handover to the DJ or awards wrap.
This flow keeps energy high and makes transitions smooth, especially at black-tie dinners and Christmas parties.
Technical Requirements Made Easy
Nothing complicated, just the right basics.
Sound: A handheld wireless mic for the performer plus a spare. Small venues can get away with a compact PA, larger rooms need a pair of tops and a modest sub. The crucial bit is clarity for the setup lines and suggestions.
Lighting: A warm front wash, a couple of specials if you have them, and blackout capability for the induction if the performer prefers it. Avoid intense strobes and anything that pulls focus from facial expressions.
Staging: A low riser with steps both sides for easy volunteer access. Keep cables taped and the area de-cluttered.
Space and seating: Volunteers need room to move. We like two straight rows of chairs, slightly angled to the audience, with water available to the side.
Safeguarding, Consent and Keeping it Classy
Modern hypnosis shows are built on consent and respect. Volunteers join willingly, the tone stays positive, and any routine that risks embarrassment is avoided. You can help by:
Asking your MC to invite volunteers in a warm, inclusive way.
Confirming your policy on photography and social clips before the show.
Briefing the performer on any sensitivities, for example topics to steer clear of.
Handled properly, volunteers leave feeling like stars, not the joke.
How to Customise for London’s Big Five Event Types
Corporate awards: Ask for brand language woven into the script and a finale that nods to your values. Keep runtime crisp so you end on a high, then roll straight into the DJ or nightcap.
Upscale weddings: Request a clean, romantic-leaning edit and a short list of guests who are up for it. Aim to perform after dessert, before room turnover.
Product launches: Use a strong visual routine that suits photos. Provide key phrases or themes so the patter hints at the product story.
Christmas parties: Mix in seasonal lines and set your performer early in the night. You’ll keep attention sharp before the dance floor takes over.
VIP nights: Go intimate with close seating and more subtle routines. People come away feeling they’ve seen something exclusive.
