Absolutely fantastic! Fish and chips were absolutely delicious, and great portion sizes too. All our guests loved the novelty of going up to the van to collect their fish and chips, and everyone commented on how tasty it was. All communication prior to the event was very smooth and easy too. Utterly delicious, and a fabulous alternative way to feed a crowd for a wedding or large celebration - everyone loved it. Thank you!

I purchased afternoon tea for two as a gift for a friend's 60th birthday during lockdown, and she was absolutely thrilled! I was also told it was delicious! I was extremely impressed with the service, speed and communication I received from Chouxlicious. Would definitely recommend!😊
We delivered next level parties for exceptional companies
We also did more than 40,000 birthday parties. Probably, including your neighbour’s recent big bash.
Bring the restaurant home: private chefs for Christmas in Leeds
Leeds in December is loud, lovely and a bit manic. Office Secret Santas, jam‑packed restaurants, last‑minute shopping in the arcades, and a never‑ending debate about who’s doing the washing up. Booking a private chef for Christmas in Leeds cuts straight through the chaos: you stay put (Victorian terrace, suburban semi, office hub with a demo kitchen—your call), eat restaurant‑quality food, and still get to nick the last roastie without a waiter staring you down.
Poptop isn’t just a party planning marketplace; it’s the most reliable and straightforward way to organise your celebration. You get instant, all‑inclusive pricing, friendly suppliers who actually listen, and proper support if anything goes sideways. Basically: you focus on the Yorkshire game terrine and enormous puds with proper gravy—we’ll keep it all on track.
The Leeds flavours of Christmas private dining
Office kitchen pop‑ups
Your company has a tidy demo kitchen and a budget. Great. A chef arrives, cooks a sharp, well‑paced menu that fits your team’s schedule, and everyone gets fed before home time. Think Yorkshire game terrine, vegetarian beetroot Wellington, and a pudding so massive you’ll talk about it in January retros.
Friendsmas in large Victorian terraces
Leeds is blessed with fantastic old houses that were basically made for long Christmas dinners. Invite the crew, lock in a private chef, and share the workload with… no one. Expect enormous puds, proper gravy, and enough sides to make a second meal from leftovers.
Post‑work team dinners
Perfect for smaller groups who want a restaurant‑level meal delivered to their co‑working space or semi‑detached without waiting for a 9.45 pm table. Menus are tight, timings are sensible, and dietary needs are neatly woven in—not bolted on.
Where Leeds hosts actually book chefs to cook
Victorian/Edwardian houses: Big kitchens, high ceilings, long tables—dream territory for a chef and a multi‑course feast.
Office hubs with demo kitchens: Corporate menus built for pace, precision and minimal faff.
Suburban semis: The most common Christmas battlefield. Chefs are used to working with modest ovens and tight counter space—just tell them what they’re walking into.
What’s on the menu (and yes, it tastes like Yorkshire)
Expect chefs to lean into seasonal, local and hearty—with finesse where it counts.
Yorkshire game terrine to open, often with winter pickles and toasts
Vegetarian beetroot Wellington that looks—and eats—like a showstopper

Pricing for private chefs at Christmas in Leeds (what to expect)
The benchmark sits around £60–£115 per person. Where you end up depends on a few big levers:
Number of courses
£60–£75 pp: A smart 3‑course menu (hello, beetroot Wellington, goodbye stress).
£80–£95 pp: 4–5 courses, or 3 courses plus canapés or cheese.
£100–£115 pp: Tasting menus with multiple refined elements, pastry‑heavy desserts and extra staff.
Ingredients
Yorkshire game terrine and classic roasts: great value for flavour.
Premium seafood, intricate patisserie, or highly complex vegan subs: nudges the price upward.
Dietary engineering (allergen‑sensitive, coeliac‑safe, etc.): usually built‑in, but very heavy requirements may add a small fee.
Staffing
Chef‑only is the most affordable for smaller groups.
Service staff typically run £120–£180 per server for the evening.
Bartenders/sommeliers: expect £180–£300 plus drinks or pairing costs.
Your kitchen situation
Well‑equipped terrace kitchen: usually no extra cost.
Tiny suburban semi with a single oven shelf: may require extra induction hobs, warming ovens or hired crockery (£50–£200 depending on scale).
Peak dates & minimum spends
Fridays/Saturdays in mid‑December, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve can mean a 10–25% uplift or a higher minimum spend. Book early for the best chef at the friendliest price.

Drinks & pairings that actually work for Leeds groups

Post‑work team dinners: lighter pours, maybe a single perfect digestif to finish
Big Victorian terrace Friendsmas: champagne to start, pudding wine to finish, and a mid‑meal red that carries the roast
Before you book: the kitchen honesty check
How many burners/hobs do you actually have
Is the oven big enough for a Wellington or a large roasting joint
Have you got enough plates, cutlery and glassware for all courses
Is there clear counter space for plating
Do you have parking or easy loading access for the chef and gear
Chefs can bring induction hobs, pans and even crockery—just let them know early.
Questions to ask your chef (so nothing’s left vague)
Can you share the exact menu, course by course
How do you handle vegan, gluten free or nut free guests
What’s included in the price—chef only, or staff too
What equipment do you need me to provide
What time will you arrive, and when should we expect to eat
Do you supply crockery, cutlery and glassware if we’re short
How do cancellations and last‑minute guest changes work
Is clean down included so we wake up to a tidy kitchen
Can we add canapés, a cheese course, or Boxing Day brunch as extras
Green flags vs red flags when you’re choosing
Green flags
All‑inclusive pricing with no hidden bits
Course‑by‑course menus
Sensible staffing numbers and realistic timings
A chef who asks smart questions about your kitchen and guests
Clear handling of allergies and preferences
Red flags
“Price on the day” with no detail
Menus that ignore your dietary list
No mention of clean down
Heroic promises (“six courses for twenty from one oven in ninety minutes—no problem!”)
Cancellations, plan B and general December sanity
December is chaos. People get flu, trains stop, your boss adds six more guests two days out. Read the cancellation terms before you book so you know exactly where you stand. With Poptop, you’ve got a proper safety net: vetted suppliers, responsive support, a money‑back guarantee and a replacement promise if things go off script.
