When to Book
You should start thinking about your transportation when you’ve settled on your day, venues and the size of your wedding party; this is usually 3-6 months before the big day.
You can often go and visit the cars in person before laying down a deposit to see the vehicles, check any final details & discuss everything with the suppliers directly. Make sure to think about any decorations you want and have a chat with the suppliers about them.
Top Tip: Remember that Prom season is a busy period for suppliers so if you have your wedding in early summer keep your options open & book well in advance.
Who To Transport
It is traditional to transport the Bride & Groom (duh), the wedding party & some family members. But that doesn’t have to be it – you might choose to transport all of your guests, or none of them, it’s your wedding after all! Just make sure if your wedding and reception venues are not in the same place, that everyone knows where they are going!
It is also important to have a think about any elderly or disabled guests that might need help with their travel plans.
Top Tip: Check with the venue about parking, make sure to let guests know about any public transport & taxi services in the area.
When To Arrive
Guests will generally make their way to the wedding ceremony venue ahead of everyone else.
The Grooms Party should then arrive with the Groom, Best man, Groomsmen & Page Boys. The Bridal Party follow with the Bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride & Flower Girls.
Finally the Bride and whoever will walk her down the aisle will arrive.
Top Tip: Remember the Bride & Bridesmaids may be in big flowing dresses, so account for extra space needed!
