Booked for Celebration

You guys were just the best! Stepped in at the last minute and played a fantastic set of jazz (and some requests... thanks so much). Really gorgeous singing and playing and so quick to respond. Super impressed. Thanks so much for making the night extra special.

Booked for Wedding

Very talented people. These guys were the first music act of our evening and helped to gently set the tone of our wedding reception perfectly. They happily took requests of some well known classics and finished with Thunderstruck just as we asked. Happy to recommend to anyone.

Booked for Birthday party

Halos helped make my husbands 40th an afternoon and night to remember. Arrived with loads of time to set up, and 2 hour sets, great vibe and a lovely voice for a long summer afternoon. Couldn’t recommend them enough!

Booked for Wedding

I can't speak highly enough of this band, they are professional, talented & sound amazing. Before the wedding Jess worked very hard with the venue to ensure we could have the best possible line up for our reception and set up a surprise happy birthday for the mother of the bride with no problems. Thank you for helping to make our special day fun & memorable. Luke & Noriko

"We really could not be happier, thank you so much for performing at our wedding in Topsham. Thoroughly recommend to anyone (I just wish we could give more than 5 stars) and look forward to listening to your CD! Absolutely lovely people and fabulous voices, suited our small venue very well. Dave made all the organisation very easy and gave us lots of choices prior to the Wedding. Thanks again!!"

"Having this band for my wedding was the best choice in the world. All my guests had so much fun!!! We were all singing and dancing to the songs :) I would 100% recommed them for any occasion. All my guests were asking for them because they were so good no exaggerations. They got there early and followed the plan we had, etc. Thank you so much for making the wedding of our dreams come true :) xxx Gabriela and James"

'One Jump Ahead' Playing Jazzy Rhythm, Blues, Swing & Rock'n'Roll

5.0(7 reviews)

• 7 bookings

We play unashamed old-style music in a variety of genres but specialise in swing/jive material in the 1940s/50s style. Popular performers of it in its heyday included Louis Jordan, the King Cole Trio, and Slim Gaillard. Beyond that, we can cover everything from mellow background jazz to upbeat rock'n'roll that will have your guests up on their feet in no time. So anything from Ella to Elvis, Fats Waller to Fats Domino, or Benny Goodman to Ben E. King, and more besides!

About supplier

The quartet is a "light" version of the septet One Jump Ahead. Singer/saxophonist (and skilled jive dancer) Kit Packham has led the band since 1984. We play real music on real instruments and we love it!
