Spinach For Norman
Recent review: "Referring to your request for testimonials about Spinach For Norman's performances please find below some quotes: 1. Wow! What a spectacular evening you gave us. our guests are all converted ceilidh fans - a lot of them had never tried one before and they absolutely loved it. I'm sure you felt the atmosphere too - such joy and celebration was a real high for everyone. Thank you for your energy, enthusiasm and time. We will never forget the magic you created for us - thank you so much. 2. We would like to say a massive and sincere THANK YOU to you all for playing and calling at our wedding at Dartington. We both had such, such good fun - it was my most enjoyable part of the day, and every time I looked around on the dance floor everyone I saw had a massive grin on their (sweaty!) faces. Quite a few non-dancers even got up a few times, so you must have had quite an effect on them! I hope that we'll be able to come along to one of your dances again soon, or perhaps organize one for our friends and family at some point in the future. 3. I would like to start by saying that we can't recommend this band highly enough. They played at our wedding in June this year. Not only are they a group of extremely talented musicians but they are very friendly and helpful as well. The quality of music is excellent and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. My family are Greek, so at the wedding, during the band's break, we thought we would play a CD of some Greek music and dance to it. We couldn't get the CD to work but the band had figured out the tune, so, during their break they played it for us. which was just amazing. We are still so thankful to them! Natasha and I would like to thank you personally for how amazing you were that night and for making the night so personal and memorable for us. Thank you!"
Recent review: This band is one to watch in 2017 – with highly acclaimed album and new single and a lively stage presence, be sure to see more of them in the future they are certainly making waves in the UK folk scene and beyond’

Harbottle and Jonas
Recent review: My Wife and I wanted to leave a review to say how incredibly this duo are. We utterly adored them and they made the evening so special. Everyone who came could tell how much passion they have for your craft and it really showed. There were no issues on the day, no problems with learning our requests and they even managed to put up with our drunken families - all with a smile on their faces. Even if you don't think you like folk music now, you will after hearing them. In summary: Brilliant.
Recent review: Gary performed at our wedding last weekend and was absolutely brilliant. He was friendly and professional, chatting to guests. His voice was amazing and he got everyone up dancing. Would love to hear him perform again and would highly recommend. Thank you so much, Emma and Paul x
Recent review: Wednesday Nights in the Chagford Inn becomes a whole lot more fun thanks to Lisa and her friends playing their special style of Klezmer and gypsy music. Lisa on violin with Basil the accordionist played some great music which made you want to leap up and dance balanced by some haunting slower pieces. The guitarist provided excellent support, as did the ’basso continuo’ from the accordionist's left hand using the whole instrument to boost the sound. Sparkling and precise music - a real joy!

BLACK VELVET BAND - Ceilidh, Irish & Hoedown
Recent review: Thank you so much for being able to accommodate us on the wedding of my son! What with atrocious weather causing extensive flooding that weekend and having to postpone the wedding from the Saturday night until the Sunday, we were more than grateful that the band was still willing and able to perform on the Sunday. Great music and excellent calling made the evening, with all participants thoroughly enjoying themselves - sometimes with a little over enthusiasm! I highly recommend this band to any future clients booking. The band were more than helpful - especially Jennie with all my questions and the band on the day were superb. All good wishes, Phyllis Steele

Recent review: "Very good. Only 4 musicians and a caller turned up but was fine. Could have done with some incidental music during dancers' rest breaks perhaps, but overall an excellent evening. The caller was particularly friendly and approachable and yet was still managing to get people to listen and dance, despite temperatures in the high 20s ! Thank you for your help."
