Vincent O'Brien

Cannot rate Vincent highly enough. So talented, versatile, professional, courteous and nothing was too much trouble. He went above and beyond to make this a very special evening. He even learnt a song for me in a very short period of time which went down a storm. Would not hesitate to recommend Vincent to anyone who appreciates "real" musicians. Thank you so much Vincent for making the night a very special memorable one.

We enjoyed Vincent's performance, some of the songs were less well known unless you are fond of the genre of music. However, he went down well with our group.

Having live music at our wedding was important to us, yet we were nervous as trying to find something to suit everyone’s varied tastes can be difficult. Vincent blew everyone away, both his sets were superb, and he was so lovely, polite and an absolute professional. Many of our multi-generational guests commented on how much they had enjoyed Vincent’s performances. We will certainly use Vincent again for future events, Thanks so much, David and Jackie x

Vincent has played several gigs for the Papillon Promotions team over the last 2/ 3 years at various venues across Manchester: often as a solo artist and occasionally with a full backing band. He has always been very easy to deal with in the run up to an event and has kept to all arrangements. As a multi-instrumentalist and scholar of various musical genres, Vincent has the capacity and luxury of being able to deliver a unique and different styled performance according to the wont and whim of any given audience and venue. Vincent's shows are characterised by a willingness to entertain and to engage an audience. He is equally comfortable belting out 'The Blues' to a toe tapping packed house, as he is in presenting his more poetical, story-telling type songs to a quieter environment. Its never the same performance and never the same set-list, which ensures every show always holds a certain level of intrigue to the listener. Incorporating elements of Blues, Jazz, Rock,Traditional, and Modern Folk into his repertoire of original music, as well as being able to breathe new life into better known cover versions, always makes for a great live experience, whether you are seeing him for the first time or the tenth.
