Top Knosh Catering

FRAUDULENT COMPANY Ben from the company text me 2 hours before we were due to eat to cancel the event so we were left with no food at a very special occasion. The company has since ignored all my calls, emails and texts and taken down their business profile and facebook account. I ended up paying out another £400 for food to replace the event so I am currently £1000 down with no way to contact the company. From the reviews I saw before he took his business offline, he did this to about 5 other people in the same week. I've had to file a fraud claim with the police and my bank to try and recover the money and failing that will have to go to a small claims court to try and get back the money from the service I have not received. Despite this terrible experience, Pop Top have been supportive with trying to contact the supplier and support my claims but as I didn't pay the balance through Pop Top I am unable to recover the money for the food. DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY BY ANY MEANS

Unfortunately our booking was cancelled 6 hours before the chef was supposed to arrive due to COVID. We received a generic email informing us of this addressed ‘dear customer’, the least we would have expected was a call to let us know. We know that we currently live in times where things do need to be cancelled last minute but this was extremely unprofessional and clearly showed very poor customer service. After several attempts we finally were able to speak to someone who promised a refund within 7-10 days however our booking was on the 7th July and I am yet to receive any money. I have emailed the customer service team 3 times with no response. Obviously want comment on food/chef however our overall experience hasn’t been very good.

DO NOT BOOK THIS CATERER. Absolutely disgusting scam. After sending the final balance we heard nothing more from Top Knosh. I sent various emails and telephoning to arrange the meal we got no response. I contacted PopTop the day before the Hen Do meal who put us in touch with other caterers which we had to pay for separately. Poptop had no contact from Top Knosh either and simply advised that as we had paid the final balance directly with Top Knosh I would have to chase this myself. Top Knosh have taken our money and I had to arrange alternative plans 24 hours before the event. How can people do this and how can PopTop recommend them as suppliers? DO NOT BOOK THIS CATERER.

AVOID. A con artist. Paid all the money and he never showed with no explanation. Now won’t answer the phone and cannot contact him. Seems this has been a regularly occurrence judging by recent reviews elsewhere.

Chef Ben created the most amazing three course dinner for a hen party celebration. The menu was incredible and it was great that even for a group of 6 we got to have 2 choices per course. The food was incredible, the presentation of the food was beautiful and chef Ben was fantastic.
