The Surrey Pianist

If you are looking for a pianist to play at your next event - you should book The Surrey Pianist. Jonathan is an incredible pianist! He played at our wedding in August 2019 - he was very prompt, set up his equipment early before the ceremony and practised before it began.

Jonathan even learnt new pieces from my favourite film La La Land. I wish I could relive it all over again!

Jonathan played a superb set at our wedding on Saturday. He had perfectly understood our brief, and created the perfect atmosphere for the wedding breakfast. Several guests commented on how fantastic a pianist he is, and although he had left by the time the speeches rolled around he should know that he got a spontaneous loud round of applause when I thanked him in my speech! Thank you Jonathan for making our day so special.

Jonathan made our afternoon. He played all my Mum’s favourite tunes and all the residents said he was the best pianist they had listened to!

He was great with the older people and had a lovely way in his introduction of the music to be played which matched the audience!!

Jonathan played for a family dinner to celebrate my 60th birthday recently, and I cannot speak highly enough about him. He played a wide variety of music. He got into the spirit of the evening. He was very polite and helpful. He really was excellent, and if ever a similar situation arose again, I would have no hesitation in booking Jonathan at all.

The Surrey Pianist played at our daughters wedding which was held in a country setting. In the months before the ceremony, he took time to find the couples requirements and matched them perfectly. He had to travel a fair distance at the start of a busy Easter weekend and was ready, set up and waiting, not complaining about being tucked into the last spare corner. I imagine he is used to grander venues. The weather was perfect (I can't claim he can arrange that of course). However, this meant that the sunshine, breeze and birdsong streamed into the barn. Jon complemented this perfectly with his beautiful piano playing. He managed to perfection the timing of a modern adaptation of Wagners 'Hear Comes the Bride' (By Jonathon Cain), so that he was at the right point as the bride and her dad walked in. There was not a dry eye in the house. A selection of songs were played for the signing of the register and for a change of tempo, he played the happy couple out with a rendition of 'Bear necessities'. I received many complements from guests. Anyone considering using a CD for their wedding, think again. This is fabulous. Highly recommended. 5 *+

Jonathan played at our wedding and was absolutely wonderful! He learned 4 songs at our request and really made our day extra special. I'd definitely recommend him if you are looking for a pianist for any kind of event.

Jon played at our wedding in September 2017 and he was fantastic. We found him online and when we heard his version of Thousand Years we absolutely fell in love it. He is very talented musician and gave us many music suggestions to be played during the ceremony and drinks reception. Jonathan is a fantastic pianist and went out of his way to play the songs that we wanted. He was so helpful and nothing was ever too much. I sent quite a few emails leading up and he would always respond very quickly. Jonathan was very happy to play for us from the ceremony right the way through until after the wedding meal. Jonathan played a mixture of his songs during the wedding meal and canapés and the music we had chosen for our ceremony was just perfect.
