FAQs

• When should I arrive for my booking?

  The potion class starts promptly at the scheduled time. To enjoy the full experience, please arrive 10 minutes prior to your scheduled class. Check-in and seating occurs5 minutes prior to the scheduled time. If you arrive late to your booking, you have your table until your booking is scheduled to end and you may not have time to make and receive all your potions. The Potions Master will loop in late attendees and incorporate them at the best moment for the entire group and subject to space/time availability.

• How many drinks do I receive with the experience?

  Our basic potions class package and Jade hen party package include 3 drinks. You will be offered a welcome drink on arrival, which you will be able to summon from the head of one of our magical creatures with your magic wand. The welcome drink may be a beer, house cocktail or mocktail. If you have booked on our hen party package, you can also request a complimentary upgrade to a welcome bellini. After your welcome drink, you will sit for your potions class where you will make two molecular cocktails. If you have upgraded to a Ruby hen party package, you will also be offered an extra drink - either a signature potion or 2x shots. Our bar offers delicious signature potions and after your potions class, you are welcome to stay in our cocktail lounge to enjoy more drinks.

• How do I access The Cauldron?

  The Cauldron is located at 57a Frederick Street, EH2 1LH. We are hidden in plain sight of this busy street... When you arrive, open the door and go down the stairs, where our potions masters will welcome you and check you in.

• Do you have accessible access?

  I am afraid that our venue is not accessible for wheelchairs, as there is a flight of stairs to go down to the venue. If you think you or one of your party may require assistance to access the venue, please do give us a call so we can discuss this with you.

• What if some of my guests cannot drink alcohol or have dietary requirements?

  We can offer an alcohol-free experience for any of your guests who may not drink alcohol. Please let us know if you have any vegan or gluten-free guests as we will be more than happy to swap some of our drinks to accommodate them.

• Do you offer food in the venue?

  We offer a limited food menu at the venue, such as flavoured popcorn and toasties. But if you'd like something more substantial to go with your potions class, we'll be happy to arrange some catering for you! Just get in touch and we can discuss options with you.

• How long does the experience last?

  The potions class lasts for 1h45 in total. Once your session is over, you are welcome to stay in our cocktail bar to enjoy additional drinks!

• What type of events do you host?

  We offer a standard Potions Class, which is great fun for any group get-together. We also offer hen party packages to make your hen do that extra bit special! We are also available birthdays, stag dos, engagement parties, rehearsal dinners, team building and team away days, Christmas parties...
