This completely unique 5 piece band are known for their covers of modern pop hits re-fashioned into a vintage style, fitting in perfectly with The Alchemists’ signature look and sound. Music genres they cover include; Bossa Nova, Afro-Cuban, swing, soul, jazz, funk, soul, ska and Latin/Brazilian. Their eclectic repertoire enables them to include music for all audiences and events across the UK and internationally. The Alchemists will have you captivated from the moment they set foot on stage at your special occasion.
They deliver a quirky and distinctive performance as they collectively perform as one unit - featuring female lead vocals, guitar, piano, drums and double bass/bass guitar.
We hired the Alchemists to perform at our wedding, and they were fantastic. They did an amazing set full of suitable songs for the occasion which had people up and dancing but were also relaxed enough for others to mingle and chat.
We had to cancel our wedding 3 times over the lockdown and communication with Ryan was excellent over the year from when we first contacted them, till the big day.
If your looking for a classy, professional and above all entertaining band these guys would be your best bet.
We hired The Alchemists for our wedding party and they were phenomenal. They're incredibly talented and had everyone on their feet loving their lives from the first song. They were so good that people were even trying to dance during their sound checks! Their customer service was excellent from day one and the whole band are lovely, lovely people. We've had so many of our guests commenting on how amazing they were, not just in their performance, but also in their vintage, quirky music style. Really thrilled with the Alchemists. They performed for a corporate event where we wanted relaxed (but upbeat) music played at a volume that created a great atmosphere whilst enabling our guests to talk and they managed this perfectly. all really pleasant, personal and professional. I would definitely recommend and rebook.
The Alchemists are fantastic, not only do they sound great but they are super friendly and flexible which made for a fantastic day filled with wonderful music and a great atmosphere. On the lead up to the wedding Ryan was on hand to answer any questions and rang me a week before to go through any final details. Thanks to the communications before hand everything went perfectly on the day, despite the rain which meant we changed plans last minute. Nothing was too much trouble for the band and they did an amazing job of putting their vintage twist to our wedding song. I would highly recommend them as a fun, friendly, professional and great sounding band. THANKS again guys it was awesome!
The band were fantastic. They really helped make a great party. They are excellent musicians, the singer has an amazing voice. There were many comments from our guests about how good the band were. I would highly recommend them and would certainly book them again.
We booked The Alchemists for our 1920/1930s speakeasy party. Wow........ they were even better than what we expected, dresses superbly, very professional and the music..... well.... they were the talk of the party!!! They had everyone up dancing to their unique covers of amazing songs. The Alchemists really knew how to work the crowd. They’re also really lovely people individually. The Alchemists played at a recent family birthday party, they were fantastic. The diversity of set was great for the guests, we were all thoroughly entertained and there was plenty to dance to. We were able to go through the set before the event and ask for special requests which was a bonus. I especially liked how cohesive the band were - there is a vibrant energy shared amongst them all which shines through in their performance. I would highly recommend then and will definitely be using them again!
Unfortunately our experience with The Alchemists was less than satisfactory, We got the general feeling that the band really didn't want to be there and did not take kindly to the fact that we requested more up beat music. The band also did not live up to their demos.
In addition, a member of staff's car was damaged when Ryan used his own car to break through a chain in the car park instead of simply requesting the staff to remove it in order to remove the car.
Will not be booking again.
