Thai Catering by Dan Turner

I have been lucky enough to have employed the catering services of Dan Turner on a couple of occasions. Dan is an exceptionally easy chef to work with. He is diligent in communication and ensured the banquets he prepared not only met our requirements but exceeded our every expectation. Dan specialises in authentic Thai and South East Asian cuisine, the likes of which is just not available in your local Thai restaurant. He comes well equipped and with a glorious array of ingredients. Dan is a tidy chef and watching him work is like having the privilege of watching a masterclass. He has a natural teaching style which I selfishly enjoy. When observing Dan's cookery method I have observed how much the preparation is key to pulling together a hot delicious banquet for service. On a couple of occasions Dan has created bespoke tasting banquets for my family and friends. The most recent being a 7 course extravaganza that ranged from crispy pork belly to slow cooked lamb in the most unctuous sauce, Bone marrow with buttery roti and seafood 'lon' relish that will leave you dreaming of having more for weeks to come, all finished with a very decadent banana roti. Ultimately, I look forward to the next occasion where I can call on Dan to cater. The food exceeds your every expectation and guests will be bowled over by the flavour explosions. He is a tidy chef who leaves no trace, except the very welcome left overs for tomorrow!

I would certainly recommend Dan. He has catered for a number of events we have hosted and his cooking and people skills are excellent. My team really like him and are keen to engage him for more private events. He served us a selection of tasty Thai food that he made himself, mostly in front of us!

It was a great experience from beginning to end. Dan made the process of choosing the menu easy. Ordered slightly too much food because there were so many delicious sounding choices. Dan was great from the moment he walked in the door. He was so efficient and all the food was presented and explained in great detail. The food quality and taste exceeded our expectations. Heartily recommend Dan if you want a great Thai food experience.

Dan was faultless. He cooked us the most amazing 10 course Thai feast. Each course was truly delicious, and everybody loved it. He was really easy to work with and listened to our requests and likes and dislikes. He happily catered for different preferences too. The quality of the ingredients as well as his cooking really was second to none. We will absolutely be booking Dan again for future parties and recommending him to all our friends. As a group of friends getting together after a long time apart Dan was the perfect chef for our event. All of us love cooking and food and could have been a tricky group to please with high standards and dietary requirements (pregnancies and allergies), but Dan took everything into account, adjusted to fit everybody and smashed out delicious dish after delicious dish. He was quick to communicate, incredibly friendly and lovely to have around on the night and left the kitchen spotless when he left. An all around pleasure to have worked with and really made our evening so special. Thank you, Dan and I don’t hesitate in recommending him to anybody-now I just need to find another reason to book him!
