How safe is a yurt in bad weather?
Unlike many other structures available, a yurt has been designed to withstand high winds and storms in its previous life as a nomadic home on the plains of Mongolia. Their curvaceous shape is able to easily deflect strong winds and provides a safe and secure haven from bad weather.
Can a yurt be put up anywhere?
It's a question we get asked often..Yes is the answer. Yurts are very flexible and will happily sit on hard standing such as a courtyard, driveway or even a road.
How can you decorate your marquee?
We love all the schemes and ideas we've seen over the years, the only thing we ask is please don't stick drawing pins or tacks into our beautiful woodwork...ties, tapes and string work great! ...apart from that, your yurt is your oyster!
Can you supply other things apart from the marquee?
Roundhouse Yurts offer an inspiring range of authentic, traditional accessories, interior decorations and furnishings to complement your yurt.
Do you provide insurance cover?
What are the colour schemes for the marquees and can they be changed?
The colour schemes can be anything you like as our yurts provide you with the perfect blank canvas to decorate and theme.
Do you provide marquee heating?
We provide wood burning stoves and complimentary logs with your yurt hire. We also provide electric convector heaters for instant heat when you need it or where the use of wood burning stoves is restricted.
What about lighting in your marquee?
All yurts come with their own chandeliers.
What about marquee flooring?
We offer several flooring options, please enquire.
Do you provide power supply?
We don't provide a power supply but we do provide all the lighting in the yurts just requiring an external power source
