Richard is an experienced and very versatile musician who has a real passion for all genres of music. He was classically trained at the Royal Conservatoire in Birmingham but has gone on to establish himself as an accomplished and versatile performer. He is a violinist and an electric violinist with over twenty years experience performing at weddings, parties and other corporate and private events. Richard will happily entertain your guests with beautiful violin music ranging from the classical favourites to film music and musical theatre hits right up to the latest rock and pop classics. Anything and everything!

It was really easy to book Richard (we dealt with Richard over email/WhatsApp) and he was quick to respond to queries.

We were so lucky to have the wonderful Richard Toomer as our violinist for our elopement wedding on July 30th 2019.
From our very first correspondence with Richard, he was so warm, professional and enthusiastic. We had a good idea of what we were after, and Richard listened and was so accommodating, even learning two new pieces for us for our day. He also had a vast repertoire for us to choose the bulk of our music from.
He played the pieces so beautifully, with his rendition of Steve Earle's Galway Girl bringing me to tears - it was just so perfect! Underlining his versatility, he played a more upbeat version of the same song later on for us all to boogie along to, and it was just fantastic. He learnt Bowie’s Magic Dance for us to exit to and he completely picked up on our enthusiasm for this song and everyone, including the registrars, boogied their way down the aisle. It was wonderful!

Yes. I am an experienced arranger so always offer one free personal arrangement when booked. If I am required to write more than one I do make a small charge for additional arrangements.
