I have been singing since I was seven years old, the age when I began taking private classical singing lessons. Since then, I have performed at and won many singing competitions, sung in concerts, gigs and at many celebratory events in and around my local area, as well as completing grades 1-8 singing exams with distinction. At sixteen, I was given a place on the classical singing program at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama (GSMD). During my time at GSMD, I had private singing lessons, took part in singing workshops and performed with the chamber choir. In my last year at GSMD, I was awarded 'Singer of the Year' for my handwork and progress, and in the summer, was invited to the south of France with fellow singers where I performed at various concerts. Whilst completing my degree in Linguistics at University College London, I continued to have private singing lessons, performed at special events (birthdays, weddings, parties), and sung at various open mic nights.
