Caz was the chef for our party and he was fantastic. He really made my husband's 40th a really special event. The food was delicious, he was friendly and professional.
He was the perfect choice. He even came with a little gift for my husband and gave us some jams for the morning. He was brilliant and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is an asset to La Belle Assiette.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Ian and his wife were just fantastic!! The food was brilliant and the service was flawless! Richard Johnson was excellent. He was very courteous, interesting and engaging. I had 2 small children sometimes mulling around and he was great with them. He was extremely well prepared so dinner was served on time, was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. I would very much recommend him to others

Arranged a dinner for 10, in Teddington from Lancashire. La Belle Assiette's and chef's speedy communications were very good. The chef himself, Charlie Marriott, was very good and friendly. Coping with 2 children and 1 vegetarian was not an issue for him. A great evening.

Brilliant evening with Adam Brodrick who we booked through La Belle Assiette. We had several options of chefs offered to us by Poptop. Once we’d chosen our chef there were plenty of opportunity to discuss menu beforehand. We booked several months in advance and payment in full was required at time of booking. Chef arrived, completed the pre-prepped food he brought, served and cleared all very efficiently for a hen party of 12. The food was excellent in taste and presentation. Would recommend chef dining, the chef we had and Poptop.

We booked a chef for the evening for our Dad's 65th Birthday whilst on holiday in Devon. We were delighted with the food and our chef. William (the chef) was very polite and was happy to answer our questions about the food. We picked the 'choose your own menu' as we had a lot of dietary requirements within our group (GF, Diary free, no lamb & no fish!). The chef had some great ideas for the menu and it tasted amazing (and he was able to cater for all our dietary requirements with no fuss).
I would definitely use La Belle Assiette again for a special occasion.

Lee was an amazing chef. He met the brief exactly, managing to cater for 8 people: gluten free, vegetarian and pescatarian. The kitchen was spotless when he finished too. 10/10.

"Charlie Marriott provided a 5 course lunch on Easter Sunday to help me celebrate a significant birthday with my family. The sun shone, Charlie arrived punctually to prepare (which is more than can be said of my family!) and served us the most wonderful lunch in the garden. Every course was a delight both visually and for our taste buds. And it was such a relaxing experience for us as hosts to just leave Charlie to it. It was one of our best family days ever, and Charlie's contribution to that cannot be underestimated..

In fact, we cannot recommend Charlie highly enough. Everyone needs a Charlie and we will be making excuses to have Charlie cater for us again."

A fantastic evening with delicious food cooked and served by Richard, all the food was of the highest standard, and Richard could not have been more pleasant a lovely evening had by all and would not hesitate to recommend.

Brian and his wife Anne make a fantastic team, providing not only amazing food but an evening to remember. It couldn’t have been closer to the description given prior. They came, they cooked, they cleaned, they left (leaving behind great memories in the process). Brian provides great annecodotes of his professional career, cooking for the rich and famous, gave us pro tips on how he achieved the results in his food and being a local shared in on the banter of our guests. Could not of asked for more.

Charlie was a great communicator in the lead up to our night and v responsive - he replied to messages promptly and worked out every detail in advance. On the night he was really easy going, he sorted everything with minimal fuss and moved discretely around our event - it took hardly any input from me at all. We had an absolutely wonderful meal cooked by Alastair. He was friendly without being intrusive. He left the kitchen clean and tidy . We will definitely be using this service again .

This was one of the best decisions I made for a hen party I organised. They whole process was easily put together and the value for money was extraordinary. The chef was prompt and wonderful to work with for an evening dinner party and the food was incredible. I will definitely be recommending this one and will look at working with them again in the future.

We have had a brilliant service from La Belle Assiette from the outset. Chef Adam was extremely accommodating with all of our dietary requirements and cooked us a delicious three course dinner. He also took the time to make sure we captured some brilliant and memorable photos from the evening, which was great! Hen party of 8 people, Adrian the chef was brilliant. Very professional and the food was amazing. Everyone loved it. We had a gluten free, vegetarian and other fussy eaters and all were catered for with ease. Great veggie options. Overall i was really pleased and would definitely recommend.

I chose menu from chef Kasia. I was able to make a few amendments. Chef Katia communicated with me via text prior to the event and was prompt on the day. She and her assistant were really nice and jovial and relaxed. They got on with what they needed to do and were very easy to get on with. The food was delicious and it did feel like a special treat on the day. I would definitely recommend having a private chef for a special event and I would also recommend chef Katia.

On Saturday evening Kirk Johnson cooked an absolutely delicious meal for 6 people at my house. Not only is he a fantastic chef but his personality added to everyone's enjoyment. I would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone else and would book him again if I considered hosting a similar evening in the future.

We were really pleased with Charlie our chef. Very polite and friendly and delicious food! Jo who served was great too. They provided printed menus, glassware, cutlery, plates and napkins too which was really helpful and made the table look so smart. All in all it was fab. Thank you!

La Belle Assiette were very helpful. We needed a very bespoke menu for our anniversary lunch and they managed to find a chef willing to assist with this. We had a slight hiccup with communications but they sorted it out straight away and resolved the issue. The chef was brilliant and very patient with the continual back and forth with menu changes. Beautifully cooked and presented food. Our party thoroughly enjoyed the very bespoke meal and not having to wash any dishes at the end was a fantastic bonus for us all!! I would certainly recommend them and would use their services again.

I can highly recommend La Belle Assiette. Our chef, James Benson, prepared a beautiful celebratory dinner together with the best canapes I have ever tasted! The quality of the food and presentation was exceptional. I would have no hesitation in booking James again.

Great selection of chef's and menu's. Our Chef Michael Holloway was extremely talented and professional. We selected a tailored menu with him over the phone and the food was beyond our expectation. Delicious.

Excellent food and service

Jaques was quite some moly fantastic, he can mminicated well before the day and on the day as traffic delayed his arrival but not our first course. He engaged with all our guests wonderfully and the quality flavour and presentation of his food was faultless, all he had to clear were the gnawed bones from the rack of lamb. Everyone has been in touch to say how great it was particularly one guest who has a range of allergies but was able to eat everything we did bar dessert of which she had her own v impressive show stopper. The kitchen was left clean and tidy and I was able to enjoy the meal as much as all my guests. We will definitely do this again.

We were having a school reunion, just one night, 6 of us in an AirBnB so we didn't want to trek out to a restaurant. La Bella Assiette were so easy and helpful in arranging a menu according to our tastes (3 meat eaters and 3 veggies) and finding us a great couple of chefs - Munya and Hendrhina - who were fantastic. The chefs rang me shortly after I had make the booking to introduce themselves and get some more details for the event. They produced and served a gorgeous meal, were friendly but discreet, left the kitchen gleaming and made us a freshly baked loaf of bread for the morning. Would highly recommend.

What can I say? Just wow, wow, wow. The chef was amazing. I didnt have to worry about a thing so could spend time with my guests. The food was out of this world and my guests were so impressed. Would thoroughly recommend

"Absolutely perfect!
Our chef Norbert and his colleague arrived and we instantly felt confident and comfortable with them in our accommodation, and sure they would deliver some excellent food. Norbert did not disappoint! He made us some absolutely delicious homemade bread which all 14 of us were very impressed by, followed by three more delicious courses. The food was of a highly professional standard, much as you would expect from a top-class restaurant.
There was lots of food, and Norbert and his colleague were kind enough to wrap up what we weren't able to eat for us to eat the next day, which we absolutely did. Norbert was even thoughtful enough to bring my mother, whose birthday it was, a card and small gift.
We would encourage anyone who is thinking about using this private chef to do so- it is fantastic, professional service at a very reasonable price.

Excellent service

We had chef Martin Davies and his lovely wife Charlotte for our event; a dinner party for 12 at the National Trust property Godolphin House. Absolutely brilliant evening. The food was wonderful. In fact everything from Menu, Food, preparation, clearing up - all was faultless. They made our night! Thank you both!!!

The process was really smooth and easy right from the off. The guys at PopTop were exceptionally responsive with follow up emails to make sure everything was running smoothly, and so were the guys at La Belle Assiette. After a couple of emails back and forth I was sent a link to a menu to make my selections from, but I needed a couple of changes and La Belle Assiette were more than happy to accommodate these. The chef herself was fantastic. She texted me to confirm, texted to make sure everything was still ok a few days before the event, so at no point was I left wondering if it was still going to plan. I even had one last minute drop out which was handled quickly and efficiently by PopTop and La Belle Assiette. The food was outstanding and the starter was one of the best I've ever had frankly. When it was all over, the kitchen was cleaner than when it started. Awesome. Would definitely recommend the service and would use these guys again in a heartbeat. And almost definitely will!

In the end the experience with La Belle Assiette was ok however the experience regarding the booking was most unsatisfactory
A week before the event it became clear that no chef had been booked and no records of my booking and menu choices were on record, this is despite repeated calls and e mails to La Belle.
Fortunately the event was saved at the last minute by “Grace” at La Belle Assiette however the whole experience was most definitely unsatisfactory

Portions could have been more substantial but food was tasty

Chef Tarek served a delightful dinner and took special attention to my daughters dietary needs. Very much recommend.

The birthday party went well and the food was good. The only point we would make is the lack of communication on the day - a simple text saying what time they should arrive. A few of us were worried that the caterers wouldn't turn up.

As I have already indicated the event had to be cancelled due to Coronavirus

"It is with regret that i am writing this email informing you that we were very disappointed with certain aspects of the evening. I feel somethings were totally unacceptable.

Firstly I would like to express everyone was completely satisfied with the food and thought the quality of the food matched the premium prices we paid. The service staff worked hard all night, arriving on time (around 6) running around in the dark to try and get the food out quickly..

It was agreed that the chef would arrive at 6pm to serve for 6.30pm, which was already pushed back as we wanted 5pm. By 6.20pm we began to think, ""where is the chef"", and changed the plans for the evening and showed a video before the dinner that was meant to be after! By 7.20pm still no sign and no call! So we called him, he advised nothing had gone right for him today and he had a flat tyre. My first complaint is that he should of contacted us if he was going to be 5 minutes late, he was 1 hour 20 minutes late!! unacceptable without being contacted.

We then breathed a sigh of relief (as the young children where beginning to lose it and our plans for the after dinner entaintainment looking unlikely) as we then believed that the food would be out within the half an hour he had stated before. We did not get our starters until 9pm mains until after 9.30 which is totally unacceptable, people had to leave without dessert, all plans for the evening after dinner were scrapped as people needed to leave. Completely ruining the night!

Although the majority of the kitchen was left in a clean state, the U-bends of two sinks needed to be removed and cleared out as they were full with food waste.

Finally I believe the quality of the service we received was not worth the money we paid, my mum will only be 60 once and for our family was a big deal and with the no contact and communication made us feel like this was just another job for them and we paid the price as we wanted it to be special. Please can you advise what i need to do to escalation this to the appropriate team or person.
