The Soul Department

Probably the best Soul & Motown band for many years. An, energetic passionate & motivating performance when I saw them recently at the Grieg Centre, they had the whole house on their feet.

An amazing, talented band! Never fail to raise the roof and get everyone on their feet!

We cannot recommend The Soul Department enough, they were amazing. All of our guests said they were the best wedding band they had ever seen and everyone had an absolute blast, they really got the party going. From booking to arrival, The Soul Department were really easy to deal with, responsive and clear, and put us at ease. I would highly recommend booking this band!

From the moment I booked in December ,Abi from the band contacted me and from then on I knew I had made the right choice to book Soul Department,they were very understanding with Covid always in the background and then when my 60 th birthday party went ahead the band were brilliant from start to finish. Best wedding band ever! We couldn’t have asked for more from such a lovely bunch of people! Not only did the band travel through some challenging snow to make sure they made it to our booking but they had all ages and all of our guests on their feet! We have had so many compliments on the band and how much guests enjoyed it saying it’s the most they have enjoyed dancing at a wedding! We could tell that the band were enjoying themselves which really rubbed off onto our guests, they read the audience well and had full participation from all! They made us feel fully comfortable right from our first dance and caused the night to end in some impressive high kicks from my brother in law! They made it a night nobody will forget!
