James Merlin is a Cambridge-based magician and mind reader. As a magician he entertains with cards, coins, little red boxes and tin cans! As a mind reader (or mentalist) he entertains with pieces of paper, cardboard, and that other 2-dimensional prop - his brain!

James is one of the most versatile performers on the circuit and works tables at parties, dinners, and corporate functions. Each evening is tailored to the needs of the client, and can include as many (or as few) card tricks as you'd like!

Do you do open-air acts?
Yes, in most cases.
How many people will you perform for?
Close-up works for 2-5 people at a time, but I've done stage work for 200-500 people.
Will your magic suit my event?
I'm sure it will. I can tailor my magic to include a corporate or sponsorship message, so let's talk and see what we can come up with!
What type of magic do you perform
I am available for both walk around and close-up magic, for drinks receptions and ice breaker events, in addition to stage/platform work for larger events. Expect things with cards, coins, and little red boxes.
How long is the act?
The close-up set engages each group for 5-15 minutes as an ice breaker, while the stage material has 25 and 45 variations.
