Danny was a great bartender - he showed up early, came prepared, reviewed all ingredients, and provided prompt service throughout the night as well as staying on top of keeping the bar clean and drinks high quality. Couldn't have asked for a better event.

Every little detail / job was taken care of without having to ask. Excellent with guests and so attentive. Cleared up, washed up and packed left over food so there was absolutely nothing for us to do. We could simply enjoy the day. Thank you so much. We’d definitely use you again.

The staff were friendly which helped to relax my guests. They were efficient in providing drinks and noticing when top ups were needed. They asked questions politely and put out food discreetly and tidied and cleared away. They even fed my dog! Couldn’t have been happier with the service.

Very poor service. Not as described at all.

The hired bar staff came on time, were professional and did a good job. Our issue is with the management at RubyLemon.

We spoke with management before the booking (after chasing them with many emails and phonecalls), to ensure that everyone was on the same page. Management did not relay any of this information at all to the hired staff, so this was a waste of our time.

However, almost 2 months after the event I was contacted by some of the hired bar staff to inform me that RubyLemon had NOT paid them, which is unacceptable considering we'd paid the full balance before the booking took place. They also mentioned they attempted to contact them multiple times and RL had started ignoring their emails.

I contacted RubyLemon by phone and was met with an incredibly rude member of staff who hung up on me, as she explained that I was not allowed to have an 'attitude', despite the fact they were the company withholding payment. I cannot stress how badly this company appears to be run.

Eventually after contacting poptop and reporting RL as a company they've majestically paid the hired staff, 58 days after the event took place and from a different company name entirely.

RubyLemon are charlatans and shysters, avoid at all costs.

Absolutely brilliant, nothing was too much and glasses were always full!

Had a lovely time because the face painter Tracey was so nice and kind. She was extremely professional and provided a great service.

Unfortunately they had to cancel because of Covid, but the company communicated well and provided a full refund.

We've been doing great events with RubyLemon this summer, and couldn't recommend more! Very friendly, talented, and timely.

The artist we had for our wedding was brilliant - she was friendly, accommodating and always had a queue! I wish we'd booked her for longer. The only downside was that the communication beforehand was very sketchy to the point I wasn't even sure they would be sending anyone. If I had had time to worry about it more I definitely would have been!

The waiting and bar staff were brilliant, cocktails tasted great. It was great to have the help tidying up! Id highly recommend.

The ladies who were sent to help us were amazing, friendly and pro active and efficient. Would not hesitate to book them again.

Ruby lemon were lucky to get the booking as appalling at responding to questions pre booking and kept asking to ring us but then never did. I booked on credit card as we were desperate and thought I will get the money back anyway. Apart from demanding their invoices being paid they were slow and poor at responding even after booking. They asked for payment up front. If Ruby Lemon sorted out their communication it would have been overall an amazing experience.

Charlotte was absolutely brilliant, engaging and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.. well done. I would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately 1 hour before my event started I received a phone call to inform me that one of the staff was unable to come
The member of staff who was very lovely ,punctual ,sweet and har working arrived she did an excellent professional service but she was unable to stay longer as I needed her to cover up for the other staff who didn't turn up ,over all I am happy but I wish I could have two members of staff or at least she could stay a bit longer to help out .

All in all a very positive experience with Ruby Lemon. The bartender turned up for our event early so was ready to on time to serve our guests as they arrived. He was a little nervous to start with but soon got into the swing of things and was a very pleasant guy to have serving the guests. The only very slight issue I have was how much i had to chase ruby lemon to make sure everything was confirmed for the night but apart from that a great experience so thank you!

The three women worked very hard and it feels like we got value for money. However, the fourth individual- a man - seemed to spend most of his time avoiding doing much at all. Every time anyone saw him this was their impression.

Unfortunately, I had to chase Ruby Lemon at the beginning of the event. The service was meant to start at 6pm sharp, and I only had one of the three staff we had hired, arrive about 4 minutes before service started. The other two waiting staff were late and I had to chase Ruby Lemon, they did not update me on their own accord. They offered nothing for this and I had to ask for a partial refund as one team member arrived just before 7pm. The team that were here were very professional and eager to help once working the job. However, I think because of the lack of transparency we would not use this company again.

I requested two professional waiters from Ruby Lemon to help at my party. An hour before they were due I had a phone call to let me know one of the waiters had a family issue and would not be able to attend. They were trying to find a replacement waiter. No replacement t waiter was found and I had no further phone calls. The one waitress that did attend was lovely and very helpful.

Booking fairly straightforward. Staff excellent. Communication with company poor with no advance notice of who the waiting staff would be and they advised them of the incorrect starting time.

The fire performer was exceptional, provided a great service and everyone had a great time. The only thing that let them down is that we paid £400 for what we were told would be a 15 - 18 minute performance (as we chose this instead of 3 x 10 minute performances) but the performance only lasted 10 minutes. Everyone was enjoying it so much that they were very disappointed when it ended early, not to mention we were charged for the full 15-18 minutes but only received 1/2-3/4 of the performance. I did email the contact who had helped arrange this for us but she has not replied. This dampened the experience for us, as we were very happy with the performer and her skill / ability to captivate the crowd but the cost / length of performance did not leave us feeling we had value for money.

I was called on the morning of my wedding on the way to do my vows to be told that a member of the bar staff would not longer be able to attend. No other replacement was found and therefore would have had only 1 bar staff for 130 people had family friends not stepped in to help, who were meant to be there as evening guests. The staff member who did come was lovely, but also turned up late.

To be honest guys, we weren’t impressed.

The lady was super friendly and very pleasant which was lovely. However it was clear from the start she lacked the experience and knowledge to make proper cocktails. She was having to use her phone to look up the method/ingredients. I lost count of the amount of times she was absent from the bar. Guests were making their own drinks. It just wasn’t the professional appearance we desired. I will be asking for a % of our money back.

As I said she was lovely and friendly but she just wasn’t prepared or not experienced enough, your adverts state at least 1 years experience, this just wasn’t the case. Or certainly didn’t appear so.

Booking and the paying and punctuality were very good. I think our server was a little inexperienced. She poured the champagne and white wine and rose very early so they were warm when the guests arrived and we ended up doing the top up service ourselves. We asked for the drinks to be topped up but she just left the bottles on the tables. So while I liked the booking and punctuality we ended up having to do a lot of the jobs we had tried to outsource ourselves.

The bar tender cancelled on us with 35 minutes notice before our event. Our guests all had to help themselves and it ruined the theme of the evening. The reason why people go through companies is for the guarantee that there is a plan when they are let down. It was so disappointing and utterly unprofessional. I hope the full amount I paid in advance is refunded to me by tomorrow lunchtime.

Nadine, our stilt walker, was delightful BUT our event was a fete, she had never performed on grass or a slightly uneven surface. Her selection by the agency was ridiculous. She could not perform. Not her fault.
Despite a number of requests, the agency would not/could not give us details of their nominated act.
Very disappointing.

The performer turned up really early and then left just after the start time of the event. The performance was repetitive for the short time and it was not value for money. I think the company was let down by a performer so got another one who had another job to rush off to. I would not recommend.

Was messaged at 15.25 the day before the party, they didn't find a replacement. My 6 year old was devastated.

Incredibly disappointing experience, the bar staff showed up completely empty-handed and hadn't received the right brief. One of the bartenders was very rude and unprofessional. We spent a lot of money buying all the things on the shopping list, but they were unable to make the cocktails we ordered as they arrived without a shaker. I tried to call several times to get help and no help was available, until hours later someone called me back to apologise for what happened and offer a full refund. So at least they did that! But we had an event scheduled so it just looked really embarrassing that we couldn't provide guests with what was promised. Would never use again.

I chased for weeks before my wedding and my emails/texts were ignored, I finally got a response a few days before the event. I I booked waiting staff for my wedding and Ruby Lemon called me two hours before the wedding and said that the people they were using cancelled and they were going to try and find someone else then never contacted me so left me with no one to serve food etc.

It was easy to arrange and the waitress were nice people but they had no experience and I had to keep telling them again and again what to do
I would like a refund as it certainly was not the experience I was expecting

Awful. Cancelled 2 days running up to the event. Cannot get hold of people to ask questions / amend booking in run up to the event either. So slow at replying.

Are you kidding.You cancelled both my helpers on the eve of my event-sending me an email at 7.30 pm the day before to say nobody can come and caused me the most inconvenience and ruined my event!
No point paying a deposit weeks before the full price days before only to be let down!

Poptop was a very easy service to use, but the member of staff never showed up, and I was only informed by Ruby Lemon 40 minutes before the start of the event they would not be coming. They also had no phone number available to be contacted on and did not respond to any messages on the day of the event. Very disappointing experience.

A day before our event we were warned that there may not be any staff available. At 3pm, 3 hours before the staff were due to arrive I had a phone call to say they were still trying to resolve the issue ! No staff arrived .
Not at all helpful when you had 70 people arriving for a party .
