Great DJ, we chatted about what I wanted before the event: 90s/00s for my 40th and he delivered. All my guests had a blast and we danced the night away! There was also flexibility to play requests on the night and he made sure I was having a good time.

DJ Martin was perfect for the event he had everyone on the dance floor all night! He made a perfect playlist based on our requests/preferences and really tailored it to the evening!! Really good value & 10/10 would recommend DJ Martin for your event!

Great communication and customer service however music selection was quite poor. Asked for 80s and had multiple calls to request 80s pop/goth/alternative type stuff (basically just typical 80s?!) But had some really weird choices like abba, grease, almost mo town type stuff at times. Bit confused. Felt a bit like id have got more what I was wanting if id just put on absolute 80s Im afraid.

I'm sorry to hear that you had a negative experience. I have had a meeting with my DJ who has consistently high reviews. Yes you are correct the DJ did play the following songs because of the following reason's:
1 - They were requested
2 - He read the room ( like you stated it was a 60th birthday and the majority of the guests were around that age.)
We have reviewed the playlist from the evening, and I can clearly see that 95% of the songs played fell under the category of most-played 80's hits. We send out song request documentation for the purpose of songs that you would like to hear, but as you stated above you requested genre's... So as a professional DJ/Entertainer he did what he was booked to do, but all we can do is apologize that you didn't get the experience you wanted.
