Dave was amazing. He worked diligently throughout my birthday party to draw my guests and never even took a break. I would recommend him highly!

Amazing artist, had all my guests crying with laughter, every guest wanted a drawing done by Dave to the point myself (bride) and groom struggled to get ours done (Dave did us last before he left and we love our drawing) I think it’s such a nice idea to have an artist like this at any event so your guests have something to take home and remember the night. I would highly recommend as he is amazing value for money.

Lovely man, very patient with my guests ( a few had additional needs) I do think he stayed longer as he was very busy.

Dave was a very calm and pleasant man that turned up on time and got straight to work! He was efficient with his drawings and got through many with happy customers. His drawings were not too offensive but could have been with more likeness to the person as everyone's drawings started to look quite similar. Prior to the event, he took a while to reply at times but was a good communicator when in contact and was flexible with the time change that occurred. All in all it was what was written on the tin. Although Dave had to travel some distance he arrived on time. He was very polite, friendly and professional. He made our micro wedding reception complete. Dave is a fantastic caricaturist! He was extremely flexible to work around our wedding timings, easily contactable, guests had a fun time getting their portraits done (there were even queues). Unfortunately we were unable to get our portrait done on the day, so we requested Dave to do a drawing from photographs, which he did and sent to our home - we love it! Would 100% recommend, well worth it!

Dave really made my mum’s 70th birthday memorable. The service was great and the drawings of everyone were brilliant. We also wanted a combined digital copy of all the individual drawings and Dave prepared this within just a couple of days of the event. Thanks very much!

I had booked Dave at the last minute for our daughter's first birthday celebration and it was the highlight of our event. Booking with Dave was straightforward; he patiently answered all my questions and sought my requirements before the event. He arrived at the venue well before the time and started drawing caricatures for our guests straightaway. He was very patient with kids and parents. The caricatures were outstanding and everybody loved having to take home something memorable. I recommend hosts purchase A3 hardback envelopes, like we did, to allow the guests to carry their caricatures home without damage. Dave stayed a bit later than the contracted time to complete for a couple of guests and we really appreciate the fact that he drove from Colchester to Rotherham for this three-hour booking. Thank you very much Dave, we look forward to having you again.

Sorry this post has taken a few weeks to write. It’s been a very busy month after our wedding and honeymoon.
We would like to say a massive thank you to Dave for joining us on our big day. The perfect autumn day which was brilliant for Dave! I sadly only managed to say hello as time just ran away with us on the day but our guests could not praise him enough! And he stayed a little longer than agreed which we can not thank him enough for.
He stayed to try and capture the bride and groom and unfortunately we ran out of time. He has offered to do a drawing of us if I send a picture so I’m hoping to contact him and arrange this so that will be great to add to our album. What a fabulous idea and something different for your big day! We couldn’t recommend Dave enough! Thank you again for being part of our big day Sam & Tom x

Dave was a wonderful addition to my birthday party, his drawings were fabulously funny and all my guests enjoyed having the drawings done to take away as a memento of the occasion. Dave is friendly and low key and worked diligently on back to back drawings throughout the evening, highly recommended!

We have booked Dave Lucas as our caricaturist and vere very happy and delighted to meet him and keep his lovely caricatures of us and our guests. It was great adition to our little celebration and guests were very pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend him and popTop events.

Dave was great for our party and his drawings are amazing. It would be good if he had a board or something to stand saying what he does. I think more people would have gone over to him had he had some sort of adverts or some photos of his work.

Dave was absolutely super. He was there and time and didn't mind the fact that we over ran somewhat. All of the guests enjoyed the experience and he made them feel at ease as well as very welcome.

Excellent service!

Dave was an excellent addition to the events schedule of our 60th Birthday bash. From start to finish, Dave kept in contact and asked questions to better understand his audience. The attendees were across all ages (5-93yrs) and mixed heritage. Despite some challenging braided hairstyles Dave captured features and attributes to a 'tee'. There were people queuing especially couples and compliments in abundance. The youngsters said he was funny and had 'good banter'. But he does not talk for talk sake, he draws and does so very well. I would say he captured over 40 images and tried to get everyone in who wanted a drawing. He worked flat out for 3hrs, no break, just a glass of red! I would happily recommend Dave as a suicidal and unusual touch to brighten an event.

Absolutely amazing, couldn't have asked for a better artist. Each character was unique to the individual. All of the guests were happy with their pictures and thought it was a brilliant idea to have at a wedding. Couldn't recommend high enough

What can I say except wow dave turned up on time and was drawing within minutes each and every guest has commented on how amazing the drawings are nothing was to much trouble for dave I would recommend without a seconds thought book him it will wow your guests

Dave is such a lovely man. Our guests were all delighted with their caricatures! We're going to frame ours and hang it up on the wall. Highly recommend. Also, we really appreciated how far he travelled to be at our wedding. 10/10 :)

Amazing service from start to finish. Dave interacted with all the guests and everyone was over the moon with their pictures. Dave didn't leave anyone behind and even stayed a longer to make sure that everyone had a picture. Can't fault him at all, would definitely recommend. The perfect addition to our party!

Dave was absolutely brilliant at our wedding in June, we are so pleased we used Drop Dead Caracatures. We wanted something different and which was fun and our guests had something to take home. Dave was busy for the whole 3 hours he was there and I think he was there actually longer than the 3 hours. He is a superb artist, we can't believe the likeness! We highly recommend if you want something different and fun Dave is worth every penny, and he is very reasonable compared to others that we looked at. 5 stars all the way! Thank you so much Dave.

Dave was a great addition to our event, with well observed caricatures and managed to get around most of the room to draw lots of guests, a nice touch was that he produced with bespoke paper with our company logo integrated. Happy to recommend Dave

Turned up on time - unfortunately due to the order of events we were running late but he was patient and ended up staying longer because of the delay

we were unaware that the Cartoonist needed chairs and were not prepared, so had to chase some down. It would have been an idea to bring some himself, and there was no sign advertising his service, which would have been useful. Having said this, he did a good job and kept people entertained with his drawings, staying beyond his time to ensure that those queuing had a chance to have a drawing.

Wasted my money and was the only cause of stress at my wedding. Very disappointing.
We scheduled the caricatures very purposefully at the time when we have photos. The caricaturist was late, nobody could get hold of him, I was meant to be having photos and I was trying to find the hotel wedding director to find caricaturist, too then be told that no one knows where they are and we’ll have to go without. They then turned up and made no apology and started working. They tried to make the time up by staying while guests are eating but this stopped them eating their food and caused a bad atmosphere at tables. Waste of money, disappointing.
