Andrew Bruell, retired Purchase Manager, and now enjoying a second life as a keen self-taught saxophonist, playing a wide range of music (1300+ tunes from Pop, Soul, Dance/disco, Jazz, rock, old time, sweet, church, classical and Christmas) with an amplified backing track in and outdoors on Alto, Bari and Tenor Sax. I started busking to raise money for charities and as passers-by regularly asked me for bookings, I make myself available for other gigs at reasonable rates, and have played many parties, surprise gigs, proposals, weddings and funerals, from 2-300 guests.
I play pleasantly, enthusiastically and sweetly, especially suitable to create an atmosphere with backing music, and as I also play upbeat dance/disco music I get booked for parties too. Andrew played in our garden for my other half's 60th birthday party on 29/05/2021.We were not sure what to expect but he was absolutely brilliant.We had about 25 guests ranging from age 3 to age 89.He played for over 2 hrs with tunes from our selected playlist & also requests on the night.Everyone was singing & dancing along & it really did make the evening very special.Even our neighbours,who weren't invited,said how good the music was!
Right from the start of my booking Andrew made the whole process very straightforward & efficient & he could not have been easier to deal with.
I have tried to book him again for another event in July but he is sadly already booked.

Well, what can I say? Andrew was absolutely AMAZING!!! He genuinely made our event!
As soon as I had booked him, he was in contact and arranged a telephone call to discuss things further. He has an extensive list of songs of all genres to play. He said that he could play anything also that was not on the list, however - he had everything. He kept in touch leading up to our event which made me feel at ease.
We were only having a small tea party, due to lockdown restrictions but he turned up on time (wearing his gold jacket), was set up and was doing a sound check, in no time. He wore a mask whilst bringing his equipment through the house and into the back garden.
His playing was spectacular!!!! He does this as a hobby but he should seriously do it full time. He is wayyy cheaper than other quotes that I got and I was therefore dubious about the quality of his playing. I had absolutely nothing to worry about however, as he played with such professionalism and charm.
He had us all up dancing and singing away for hours. Whilst he was playing, I even had a note through the door from a woman in one of the houses behind ours, asking for his details as she loved his playing.
We will 100% be booking Andrew for future events and we cannot wait to have a party, as an excuse to book him!

Andrew was amazing! Ready and set up ahead of schedule, learned and played a song I requested that he hadnt tried before. As the weather was dry enough for photos, we headed outside and he followed which was great so we didn’t miss much of his performance. Very very much worth the money!

I have a portable 80W PA I use for backing track, and can also be used for announcing in a medium sized venue (or Karaoke). For larger venues I have access to 500W+ equipment as required.
My equipment is battery powered, not currently PAT tested. I do not currently have Public Liability Insurance. If this was a specific requirement, I can quote for this.
From as little as 2 Sq metres, 3 sq metres if Bari Sax also required. However the sound will project to cover an area of up to 800m2
Please ask - I can find arrangements for most songs, if not available I can make one, as long as the piece is not extremely difficult.
I can play for 2 hours without a break, 5 mins required for performance up to 4 hours.
I have a variety of outfits to suit a range of occasions, including: DJ and black tie; Black Denim and Fedora; Polo shirt and smart trousers; Festive Jumper and Hat; Superman Outfit (it was a gift from a previous life, honest) I will work with clients to find a suitable outfit matching your occasion.
