Marco Scire Chef

Marco did a great job. We all enjoyed our first experience of having someone cooking for us “in house.” The menu was a success. Everything served was delicious, with a good balance of flavours and textures. Marco himself was charming and efficient.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening courtesy of the excellent dinner prepared and served by Marco. We had never done anything like this before but would not have any reservations about doing it again. Marco arrived in plenty of time and - seemingly effortlessly - took over our kitchen for the evening. Our guests enjoyed every dish and Marco blended in perfectly allowing us all to enjoy the evening to the full. Highly recommended.

Marco was absolutely fantastic! He cooked a wonderful and unforgettable meal for my dad's birthday, much more intimate and memorable than going to a restaurant! Cannot recommend more!!

It was Thanksgiving away from Home. He was very flexible and accomodating despite the last minute change in plans. He was very responsive as well while we were coordinating the event with him. He went above and beyond with the Thanksgiving dinner preparation! Excellent service!"

Chef Macro provided good communication on the lead up to the event. He arrived on time and was very pleasant. He was more than willing to interact with the guests when required and he provided food chat about his experience and family circumstances.

Marco was excellent and the food was delicious. He arrived promptly, brought flowers for my mother (we were celebrating her 85th birthday), introduced each course and cleaned up beautifully after the service. Cannot find fault. A great experience that we will definitely be repeating!

Marco was amazing. Not only did he arrive punctually and prepare the meal with ease and finesse, he was friendly, informative and ensured our experience was beyond expectation. The food was unbelievably delicious -- we wished he could have stayed longer and made us all our meals from then on! He also shared great cooking tips and conversation and cleaned up after himself completely so there was nothing for us to do but enjoy the whole evening. Couldn't have been happier with how it all turned out and would absolutely recommend him and the service to a friend without hesitation. Truly can't say enough nice things about Marco, the food and the overall experience.

Marco was a fantastic chef, providing a well balanced and delicious meal. Marco was efficient and unobtrusive but ensuring that we were well looked after. Marco presented each course with a detailed description and was willing to answer any questions about the food including giving recipe ideas. The lobster linguine was absolutely superb and the whole occasion was a fitting way to celebrate my Dad's 70th birthday. I would highly recommend Marco as a chef for a private dining experience. We had a great time and enjoyed delicious food.

An experience to be recommended - all very straightforward to organise and the menu was completely flexible. Marco was charming, efficient and more than happy to talk us through the menu and the preparation.

"I hired Marco to cook for my partners 40th birthday. As it was a special occasion we hired a cabin on the shore of Loch Tay and took the three children with us. I told Marco the truth about the kids being fussy eaters and that he would have to cook in a limited facilities kitchen, miles away from his home in Edinburgh but he gave me total comfort that he was fine with this.

He turned up, gave my partner some flowers for her birthday and started to cook without hesitation and what he cooked was superb. It was a 4 course meal that catered for all of us and we all loved the food. We even got some tips on how to cook some of the foods he prepared. Our food was presented beautifully and with great pride.

I could not recommend him enough. He did moare than I had expected, we all loved the food and he left us as he found us.

Marco was professional and fun from the moment he arrived. The standard of cooking was excellent and he took the time to talk me through the menu and answer any questions I had. We had such a brilliant evening. I cannot recommend Marco highly enough!

"The evening with Chef Marco was a fantastic way for us to catch up with good friends without anybody having to worry about the food.

All food was fantastically cooked and presented very well. In particular the lamb was spectacular, beautifully pink and tender as I like it. The standard of the food was well above any of the expectations I had.

The one thing that really impressed me was how non-intrusive the whole experience was. I was worried before we arrived that the Chef would try to take the limelight, be the focus of the night and not allow us to spend the quality time with our friends. It could not have been further from the truth. You barely knew Marco was there until a great plate of food arrived in front of you and then the empty plate was taken away, it really allowed us to enjoy the evening in the company of our friends."

I couldn't fault Marco for professionalism, quality of cooking, service etc. It was a wonderful night and it was so lovely for our hosts to relax and join us at the table when on so many occasions this isn't possible for hosts. Marcos menu was exquisite. It has changed my opinion on polenta that's for sure. My review was a big thumbs up and 5 across the board.

Marco provided us with a really delicious meal and cooked for us in an unobtrusive manor. I would definitely recommend him to all my friends and family.

Marco worked tirelessly to create a delicious menu which would accommodate several dietary requirements. We were in rented accommodation with limited equipment but Marco was very relaxed and professional, working away with ease. Although we hardly knew he was there, Marco was friendly and happy to answer any questions. It was a truly special evening with fabulous food, I would not hesitate to recommend Marco!

Marco is simply great to work with as he is extremely easy to get along with. He makes it a point to come out and meet the customers and obtain feedback himself in order to make incorporate needed changes to his menus. Needless to say, this made our customers feel special. If at any time I need a private chef again I will use Marco services. Highly recommended

We hired Marco for a dinner party for a hen do in Edinburgh at the weekend. I cannot thank him enough! The food tasted absolutely amazing and was presented beautifully. Marco was a pleasure to deal with in the lead up to the event, and on the night worked extremely hard to make sure the dinner party went without a hitch. Highly recommended!

Marco created a lovely meal and we had a very relaxed family evening where we were celebrating an engagement. Marco gave us flexibility with his menu, was pro active in contact and the evening worked incredibly well, would really recommend Marco!
