The Amycrofters Band is led by Andrew on accordion. He is a very experienced dance musician. The band has been delighting Ceilidh and Barn dancers since 2002. Andrew is accompanied by his wife June, who plays keyboard and banjolele. She adds further rhythm, phrasing and variety to the sound of the accordion. The couple often play as a duo. This makes them less expensive and more flexible than larger groups. With their lively foot tapping, varied sound, this is a popular option with organisers. If required the Amycrofters are fortunate to be able to call on the services of other talented instrumentalists, such as violinists, and mandolin, banjo and guitar players. They are then known as the Amycrofters Plus. The band provides full PA equipment tailored to the needs of the event, however large or small. We provide our own stage lighting if necessary.
